"We happy? Yea, we happy." It's time to unveil! As promised, we wanted to show off the winning artwork for our redesign contest held in October for The Golden Briefcase podcast (original post here). We had quite a few fantastic entries, thank you everyone who submitted, we are truly honored to have such a supportive and creative fanbase. Below you can see the winning design that will replace our current iTunes image (check it out!), created by Kyle Brown, as well as a few of the runner-ups that we also really enjoyed. This was a fun contest and we're glad we had so many unique and creative submissions. Check them out below.
First of all, our first place winner was Kyle Brown, who submitted an awesome new design that we feel truly encapsulates our show. We will be using his artwork from now on for our iTunes feed so be sure to send him a tweet and let him know what you think! He can be found @KyleBrownDesign and on his website. His art:
Pretty awesome, isn't it? Here are a few of the other ones that were very close to making the final cut. All of these artists had some fantastic concepts that we felt were still absolutely worth mentioning, and heck, maybe even worth using someday in other TGB related projects! You never know. We do appreciate all the submissions, thank you again. Here's our favorite runners-up - first, a submission from Christopher Q.
Here we have another one submitted by MaTT - gotta love all the briefcases in the background.
And another artist named Matt submitted some very impressive concepts, including this one!
I wish we had more places to feature all of these individually, but we could only choose one winner! Again, we cannot thank everyone enough for their submissions and ideas. We are so thrilled that you took the time to submit the art and listen to our show. We love you all and cannot wait to show you all the exciting things still to come from our podcast. The latest episode is coming up, and as always you can listen to our weekly podcast The Golden Briefcase on FirstShowing or by subscribing on iTunes. As the winner chosen by hosts Tim and Jeremy, Kyle will receive a $100 gift card to Amazon. Thank you for listening to our humble show!
One would hope that someone caught the typo on the first place winner's entry: Jeremey Kirk.

Man... Thought you guys were going for something different. They're all plays on the original. My wife, who's a professional at this stuff, submitted six... Not one picked. Man! I'll admit, though, she didn't include your names. Although, I do see MANY, if not ALL, of her ideas in the winner's work. She just chose a very different color scheme. The show was the entertainment, not more generic movie images. Then again, guys did say film images could not be used... 🙁 Congrats to the winner and the runners up. To be honest, though, they all look done by the same person. Matt's are the best!!!

The two by the two 'matts' are approximately 1 billion times better than the winner. Sorry.
