Ice Cube and Chris Tucker Coming Back for Another 'Friday' Sequel?

Though you may not know Tommy 'Tiny' Lister by name, you'd likely recognize the actor if you saw him because of his brief appearances in films like The Dark Knight, The Fifth Element, Jackie Brown and on a more depressing note, Little Nicky. However, Lister also has a recurring role in the comedy series that started with Friday, logically continued with Next Friday, and moved on with The Friday After Next. Though Lister only appeared in the first two films, he recently spoke with TMZ (via Movies.com) and revealed that he's soon meeting with Ice Cube and Chris Tucker about doing yet another Friday sequel.
Tucker hasn't show up in the comedy series since the first film, so this reunion should be some great news for fans of the franchise. After all, the film is responsible for launching his career, and since he's trying to make a comeback after not appearing on film since Rush Hour 3, maybe coming back to the series that started it all is a good idea. No word on where the story might take the characters but Lister says, "This is gonna be the big one." Does that mean there's a script already? Has this been in the works for a while? Or does someone merely have an idea for a fourth film to get off the ground? I guess we'll have to wait and see.
Update: Deadline confirms that New Line is in talks with Ice Cube to write, produce, star in and possibly even direct the sequel. Cube also wants Chris Tucker back, but since he didn't do the other sequels for religious reasons, it's not clear if that's in the cards. We'll keep you updated on this from here!

I'd See it! Funny bc i totally wrote off the 3rd Friday until I happened to see it on video. Didnt realize Terry Cruz & Kat Williams before they were relevant. If they can get those guys and with epps with the original cast, it might be really funny. They'd have to get DJ Poo and F. Gary Gary on board though.

Religious reasons? Did not know that. Seems to me that if he's trying to make a comeback, reprising the role that typecast him in the first place would be a bad idea. Having said that, he is a funny bastard and I would probably see it.
