"Not going is a kick to you and to football fans everywhere!" Maybe it should be British Trailer Sunday, as we've got an official UK trailer for a film titled Will coming straight from England. It stars youngster Perry Eggleton as Will, Liverpool FC's "biggest fan", whose estranged father shows up with tickets to the 2005 Champions League Final but through events unseen, he must run off on a journey of his own to make it to the game. The cast includes a few other names, like Bob Hoskins and Damian Lewis, who you might recognize from The Escapist or Your Highness. This looks typically inspirational, but actually entertaining.
Watch the official UK trailer for Ellen Perry's family drama Will, embedded from YouTube:
11-year-old Will Brennan is Liverpool FC's biggest fan. At a boys' school in England, Will's knowledge and love of The Beautiful Game even outshines his football-obsessed mates. But his life is turned upside-down when his long-absent father Gareth reappears with tickets to the '05 Champions League Final in Istanbul.
Will was directed by USC film school graduate Ellen Perry, of the documentaries The Fall of Fujimori and Great Wall Across the Yangtze previously. The screenplay was co-written by Perry and Zack Anderson. This hasn't played at any film fests as far as we know, but will be released by Vertigo Films in the UK starting on November 4th this fall. We're not sure when we can expect to see it in the US. Visit their official Facebook.

No Sigur Ros, no inspiration! Kidding. It looks rather interesting...might check it out.

Might catch this if it comes to Netflix. I like Damian Lewis. He was also good in Band of Brothers. It's too bad NBC cancelled Life.

He's got a new series on Showtime that just premiered last week. The first episode was pretty good.

Wish I had Showtime. Thanks for the heads up anyways. I see that it will be available on DVD on Netflix. Would rather they made it streaming.

I don't usually complain about this sort of thing, but seriously...they showed the whole movie. Have some restraint trailer editors. That amazing last shot goes on for over 10 seconds.

I was about to say the same thing, Mr. Tibbs. They showed the entire movie... It's basically a really condensed short film.
