This is what we call the Muppet Show! Arriving in theaters this week is Disney's The Muppets, the return of everyone's favorite Jim Henson puppets, starring Jason Segel, Amy Adams and just about every Muppet you can remember, plus newcomer Walter. But how did this movie even get made? I interviewed David Hoberman & Todd Lieberman, who together run Mandeville Films and produced The Muppets movie we're now seeing up on the big screen. We spoke about what went into creating this Muppets movie and the challenges, and briefly about the Phineas & Ferb movie at the end, which they're making next. View below!
Watch the interview with The Muppets producers David Hoberman (L) & Todd Lieberman (R):
The Muppets is such a wonderfully fun, amusing film, and I truly meant it when I say that it appeals to and entertains all ages. I interviewed Muppets co-writer Nicholas Stoller as well, and was happy to speak with David & Todd. I'm as big of a fan of the process of filmmaking, actually making movies, as the performances in them, and I love speaking with producers, writers and directors, getting into the real stories behind how they came together, the challenges they had to overcome, and the inspiration behind the choices they made. The Muppets was directed by James Bobin ("Flight of the Conchords") and stars Jason Segel and Amy Adams, as well as Walter and the Muppets. It finally hits theaters this week - November 23rd. Loved it!
