J.C. Richard's Stunning New 'Jurassic Park' Mondo Poster Unveiled
by Alex Billington
October 24, 2011
Life found a way. One of the best short 'n sweet taglines for a movie ever. Mondo Tees has debuted the official poster for the Blu-Ray release of Jurassic Park this week. While they've had one Jurassic Park poster before, made for one of the Mystery Movies, this is the one you've all been waiting to see. Designed by J.C. Richard, the stunning poster features a look at the brachiosauruses from the "tree scene" in the first movie. Movies.com calls it a "striking departure for the shop" in its photo-realism, simplicity, and its subtle beauty of capturing the essence of the film without using bold design elements. I agree, this looks fantastic.
If you want to get your hands on one of these beauties (edition of 375) they're going on sale this Thursday, October 27th for only $45 a piece, which is a damn good price for a poster like this, especially being printed at 24"x36". You can follow @MondoNews for details and the sale announcement/link. I'm planning on getting one myself, if I can nab one before they sell out, as these are going to attract a lot of attention. The last poster for Jurassic Park was not well-liked by many, hopefully this redeems that and is a worthy poster to go alongside the long-awaited Blu-Ray trilogy release ($49 on Amazon) this week. What do you think?

They should have used this back in 1993 when they first released it on theaters. They still can maintain suspense & intrigue by not showing the Rex. Beautifully done !

@326447caf8222c2508c8c848a5fbc456:disqus I think having the T-rex chasing the jeep is actually a great way of tying another scene from the movie into the poster - sure there is the majesty of the brachiosauruses scene, but under the surface is the terror of the T-rex chase. Maybe I'm reading too much into it 😉

Now this is a poster. So beautiful & shows the amazing wonder that JP was created on. The tagline says it all.
