Jason Momoa Joining Sylvester Stallone for Action Flick 'Head Shot'

Later this this year we'll see him spilling blood as Conan the Barbarian, but over the past couple months, Jason Momoa has also been an epic bad-ass on HBO's fantasy series "Game of Thrones." Now the actor will play a straight-up villain as Latino Review reports that Momoa has been cast in the villain role for the action flick Head Shot. Though the project is apparently now untitled, it's based on a graphic novel called Bullet to the Head and has Sylvester Stallone leading the film as a New Orleans hitman who teams up with a Gotham cop (reportedly played by Thomas Jane) to take down the killers of their respective partners.
Their mission of revenge leads them from the dingy back alleys of New Orleans all the way to the power corridors of Washington, D.C. Originally set to be directed by Wayne Kramer, the film sparked some creative differences between Stallone and the filmmaker, so Walter Hill was brought on to helm the thriller instead. Hill brings a history of great genre films with him including The Warriors and 48 Hrs., so hopefully he's still got some magic up his sleeve to bring life into the mostly generic sounding story. As for Momoa's casting, the guy is certainly a force to be reckoned with and should give Stallone and Jane a run for their money. In addition "Fairly Legal" star Sarah Shahi was also added to the cast as Stallone's daughter.

I sure hope the production retains the services of Thomas Jane, though! ..Sarah Shahi in this flick too, is a plus!
