Last December we learned that Nick Cassavetes (Alpha Dog, The Notewbook) would be directing a biopic on American mobster John Gotti. Then in January we found out John Travolta would probably be stepping up to play the famous criminal and the news has since been confirmed. Now two more cast members have been added into the mix as ComingSoon attended a press conference this morning where it was revealed that Joe Pesci and Lindsay Lohan have landed parts in the biopic which has been titled Gotti: Three Generations. Pesci's deal is closed, but Lohan is still in the midst of working out details to finalize hers.
Pesci is playing Angelo Ogero while Lohan will play Victoria Gotti, the mobster's daughter. As the title suggests, the film covers three generations of the Gotti family, and we've also heard that one of the significant plot points will be the relationship between the elder Gotti and his son. At the press conference, the film was also described as an "open door insider's look" with source material coming from interviews with John Gotti, Jr., Victoria Gotti, the family lawyer Charlie Cinelli and others who personally knew Gotti and the family. With this kind of talent coming together, it could either be a great biopic, or an absolute disaster. What do you think?

I was pissed the moment John decided to play the lead. Just because you have the backing doesn't always mean you should star.

Travolta might not be a bad choice - after all, Vic Damon is dead

I hope Joe Pesci does more films from now on after his needless 'retirement'. Same with John Travolta. Same with Lindsay Lohan who I hope finally stops fooling around like she has been doing for the last six years.

Isnt it "Angelo Ruggerio"? not Ogero? Unless they're making some loosely based on his life stuff?

"Lohan is still in the midst of working out details to finalize hers." Those are the key words!

Who's gonna play Sammy "the bull"? I thought Pesci would get that part...

Because my family thoroughly enjoyed her movies, I am all for Lindsay getting back her mojo. It seems that the unforgiving fans see her escapades personally, when a good percentage of young America is battling the party scene. It is not a new concept. Some chics can't handle the booze and all. Let her get over it and hope we can see an actress get back to work. Our culture obsesses on the party and the party has many casualties.
