In what seems like a fanboy's glorious dream, quite a sexy cast might be coming together for an adaptation of the J. Scott Campbell comic book series Danger Girl. Keep in mind that this should only be taken as rumor for the time being, but Latino Review has early word from the tracking boards that Benderspink is currently shopping around the rights to an adaptation of the comic with Kate Beckinsale (Underworld), Milla Jovovich (Resident Evil) and Sofia Vergara ("Modern Family") all attached to star in a project described as Kill Bill meets Raiders of the Lost Ark with the ensemble team element of Mission Impossible.
The simple logline reads like this: A beautiful adventuress joins forces with an all-female spy agency as they race around the world to recover a trio of powerful relics. The first issue of the series is said to follow renowned Archeologist and adventurer Abbey Chase as she is recruited by the super-secret spy organization, Danger Girl. Along with fellow operatives, Sydney Savage and Natalia Kasstle, Abbey was brought into Danger Girl by the enigmatic Deuce, a former British Secret Service agent who is the team leader. Their first mission together is to locate a series of mystical relics and keep them out of the hands of the Hammer Syndicate, a huge criminal network bent on world domination. Casting seems a little too ideal for a project like this, but maybe this is the real deal. Stay tuned.
Update: We received an email/tweet tip a few days later from The Playlist confirming that, unfortunately, none of this casting is true. "WME reps trio of actresses, not attached." It sounds like this casting was indeed too good to be true, and it was just an early rumor from the tracking boards that didn't pan out. No worries, we can hope with time this project develops and actually nabs a cast as kick ass as this.

I loved Danger Girl, but I felt the comic actually resembled more of GIJoe than anything else.

All too old. Time for new blood, Hollywood.

Oh please! Kate Beckinsale is hotter than any woman in Hollywood 10 years her junior. Besides, most of the young actresses in Hollywood are no talent, brain dead bimbos. Besides, this whole story is BS. This so-called film has no director, no writer, no producer, no script, and hasn't been picked up by any studio. Kate Beckinsale nor Milla Jovovich are going to commit to a film without at least reading the script and knowing who the director is.

It's someone stirring the pond, hoping to gauge fan reaction. A grain of salt won't cut it. You have to sprinkle the whole bottle. Personally, I love Kate to bits, but she is a bit old for this. Sofia too. Can't think of anyone else off the top of my head, but just hope if it does get off the ground that they get girls who are just fun to watch.

For the record( Not trying to be a dick ) It's spelled Natalia KASSLE not KASSTLE. Either way, I cannot wait for this film, assuming it WILL be released. ๐

I hope Sofia Vergara will play an action heroine one day or at least have one little fight in a movie. Just let her kick a guy in the groin or something.

The cast alone is a fan boy's quintessential "wet dream",....and then some! I love the cast... and if it's true, I hope the script is worthwhile and keeps Sofia Vergara's lines to a minimum. She is great to look at, but obnoxious to listen to! If this flick comes to fruition, I hope they make it every bit the swashbuckling film they are claiming it to be--as long as it's MORE "Raiders.." and NOT like those horrible, "Charlie's Angels" flicks! And yes, for the record, my vote goes to Beckinsale who is every bit the "lady" that MOST modern flicks lack these days. She is sexy, beautiful, classy, and feminine all rolled into one! ...She is one of a few of a dying breed! She can lead any cast and stand out tremendously! Jovovich is an inspired choice who can breathe life into a new character that isn't Alice from the, "Resident: Evil...." flicks! Whether there is a director or not, if the script is ok and the price is right, these ladies would still sign on, I'm sure. It's not like there is an exaggerated abundance of ass-kicking roles for females in their mid to late 30s! I'd love to see this cast confirmed,...then I'm in!
