More Nicolas Cage Madness: First Trailer for Vigilante Thriller 'Justice'

Nicolas Cage in Justice Trailer

"I represent an organization that loves this city, we were tired of watching it go to hell." A new trailer has hit the web via The Sun for an upcoming "tense thriller" titled Justice, which is one of many titles this has, including Seeking Justice and The Hungry Rabbit Jumps. It stars Nicolas Cage and January Jones as his wife, who gets assaulted, which enrages Cage, who meets an organization that "cleans up the city" but will ask a favor of him later. With Guy Pearce, Jennifer Carpenter, Harold Perrineau and Xander Berkeley. This doesn't look half bad, but it does seem a bit conventional. "We're just a few citizens seeking justice."

Watch the first official trailer for Roger Donaldson's Justice, originally from The Sun:

After his wife is assaulted, a husband enlists the services of a vigilante group to help him settle the score.

Justice, originally titled Seeking Justice, is directed by veteran Australian filmmaker Roger Donaldson, of the films Sleeping Dogs, Cocktail, Cadillac Man, The Getaway, Species, Dante's Peak, Thirteen Days, The Recruit, The World's Fastest Indian and The Bank Job previously. The screenplay was written by Robert Tannen (Even Money), from a story by Todd Hickey & Tannen. This is getting released in Europe, hence this UK trailer, but I don't think it has a US distributor yet. In the US, it's also titled The Hungry Rabbit Jumps.

January Jones is stunningly gorgeous. She's a very talented but underrated actress. Good for her to keep landing such high profile roles. She deserves it.

Bruce Bluewood on Sep 22, 2011

she isn't talented her acting is beyond abysmal especially in recent films like X-Men First Class and Unknown.

A Villa88 on Sep 22, 2011

Looks like it could be pretty badass. Cage needs to pick more of these roles.

Xerxexx on Sep 22, 2011

i'll go one step further - this looks like it WILL be badass.......i'm in!!!

Anonymous on Sep 22, 2011

I'm willing to bet it comes out pretty good.

Xerxexx on Sep 22, 2011

Yeah, lately he's been doing anything that will pay the bills, but this looks good.  I generally trust a movie more if you throw Guy Pearce in the mix.  Though, the Time Machine was atrocious.

JL on Sep 22, 2011

To be honest I loved the ending to The Time Machine...when Mark Addy tosses his hat into the wind I always smile.

Xerxexx on Sep 22, 2011

After seeing her in 'X-Men 1st Class' there is absolutely NO WAY I would ever say that January Jones is a good actress. She certainly even flounders in Mad Men. Beautiful, yes, but that's about all.

Voice of Reason on Sep 22, 2011

agreed. it's really a sad thing in hollywood today - so many younger acteresses who get work due to looks and nothing more.

Anonymous on Sep 22, 2011

I think she plays her part in Mad Men pretty well.  A spoiled little brat child in a woman's body.  She nailed it.  I haven't seen First Class yet.  I concede, though, that she may get by on her looks more than her ability to act.  Stunning looks, though.  Just amazing.

I don't understand why Nicholas Cage gets more work then most actors. He seems to be in every other movie.

Josh Taylor on Sep 22, 2011

uh, what? without thinking, christian bale, sam jackson, brad pitt, george clooney, and johnny depp all work a lot too. i think it's due to just  how many movies are being made anymore.

I'm not sure if I should be happy that Nicolas Cage is finally doing a decent film with Guy Pearce...or sad that Guy Pearce is doing another mundane film with Nicholas Cage

The Movie Kidd on Sep 22, 2011

Hahaha, yeah, that kind of worries me, too.  Pearce doesn't get enough cred, and Cage gets too much.  This could either be a black spot on Pearce's filmography or a shine on Cage's.

JL on Sep 22, 2011

Finally, sth worth watching from Cage. This looks really good. I hope the whole movie will be as good as the trailer.

Piotras on Sep 23, 2011

i cant wait to see this movie with NICOLAS CAGE... that sounds it

Mariana Cane on Sep 23, 2011

Guy Pearce. Bad Guy. I'm in.

Brickman on Sep 23, 2011

Tv movie. The sort I eat up.

Crapola on Sep 23, 2011

I think this looks good, but I prefer the original title The Hungry Rabbitt Jumps.

Bazzmosis on Sep 23, 2011
