Super 8 TV Trailer

"They're looking for something." It's now or never, as we've got a week until Super 8. Paramount is pulling all the stops, which includes premiering another brand new, "exclusive" trailer for J.J. Abrams' sci-fi flick during the MTV Movie Awards show, which is thankfully now available online via MTV.com. However, given we're this close, I feel like I should give everyone fair warning that this shows quite a bit from the movie, and if you want to stay completely fresh on it (which I suggest) then skip this trailer and just wait a few days to see the entire thing. Otherwise, if you still need convincing take a look, as this is an awesome trailer.

Watch the final official trailer for J.J. Abrams' Super 8, originally from MTV:

Relationships are tested when a small town experiences extraordinarily fantastic "other-worldly" events. This sci-fi film stars Joel Courtney, Zach Mills, Elle Fanning, Kyle Chandler, Noah Emmerich, Ron Eldard.

Super 8 is both written and directed by visionary director J.J. Abrams, who started his career with "Lost" and "Alias" before first directing Mission: Impossible III then Star Trek last summer. This is being produced by Steven Spielberg at Amblin, Relativity and Bad Robot. According to early reports, this was inspired by Spielberg's sci-fi films from the 70's and 80's. Paramount will be bringing Super 8 to theaters everywhere starting on June 10th this summer. You can stay up-to-date by visiting: super8-movie.com.

Wife and I are taking a day date to see this next weekend (We have a 1 year old daughter, so it's tough getting out to see movies at all). Looking forward to this film.

The eye.  Shoot for the eye.  And then run...and pray it's blind and hunts on sight.

As usual, since i first say the trailer last year of the truck driving on the tracks and the "thing" breaking out of the train, I have been aching to see this movie! And I'm so stoked for this weekend! Even though Alex said this movie gives away a lot, I would disagree. All the other trailers have shown the train blowing up and some sort of magnetic energy lifting metals into the sky and something snatching up people. The ONLY way this trailer would give anything away, is if it revealed the "thing" trapped in the train. So for anyone reading the comments before watching the trailer, I can assure you, you'll be fine and will thoroughly enjoy the trailer (going from 6 to midnight, lol)

If the creature/robot/whatever was only released by chance after the crash, presumably the military had an effective way of containing it. So obviously this movie is going to climax with the monster fighting a giant robot made from train carriages... duh

Done. Will not be watching this. The trailer was a bit manipulative and cliche.

OMG. That looks like a made for tv movie. Let's combine all of Steven Spielberg's 70 and 80's film and see what we get. I'll wait for it to show up at my local $1 Redbox rental.

dude you sure overuse the wors "awesome". Hereby you are banned from using it for a week.

Any other week, but the week Super 8 comes out?! This movie is made of "awesome", I can't not use it! Plus, what are some better alternatives? It's hard when you write 15 articles per day to always mix it up, especially when awesome fits so well!

I'll probably go see this one. As much as I didn't want to like Abrams, due to the constant praise of Lost on the internet, I loved Star Trek. Looks like this one's gonna be good, too...

Well, at least you're giving at chance, Bl00dwerk.  I'm interested in it too--liked STAR TREK, and thought LOST was pretty good.  Not perfect, but better than a lot of shows on TV (THE WIRE and the new BATTLESTAR GALACTICA being pretty much the cream of the modern crop, with LOST right up there).

I still can't BELIEVE that we're getting this months later in the uk!!! TERRIBLE.

That. Was exactly what I expected to see. This movie keeps telling me a story that I can already see in my head. I wonder if there will actually be a "secret" other than what this thing really is.

I have decided to avoid all Super 8 trailers and promos. After seeing the first full length trailer I knew I would be seeing it no matter what. I want to go in as fresh minded as possible. Can't wait!

From the reviews I've been reading for this movie, critics are saying it's more of a drama with father and son issues, in which a monster just happens to escape, so the monster is secondary...I'd rather see Attack the Block then this...or watch The Mist again.

If you don't wan't to spoil everything watch the trailer WITHOUT SOUND. So goddamn teasing

Or with ONLY SOUND 😉

C'mon, Steven...aren't most movie trailers "manipulative"?

I've been waiting for this one since the teaser during the Super Bowl. It reminds me of "Close Encounters of the Thrid Kind," meets "War of The Worlds," meets "ET," meets "Cloverfield"...and maybe M. Night's "Signs" (cornfield clip)
