MTV's Lego 'Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides' Trailer Redo

The pirate all pirates fear - Blackbeard! Well ain't this just fun. MTV has debuted their own Lego recreation of the trailer for Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, which is hitting theaters in just a few more weeks. I thought they were doing a shot-for-shot version of the latest trailer, but this just seems to be a combination of clips they hand-picked. Either way, it's actually just as entertaining watching Johnny Depp in Lego form as Captain Jack Sparrow as it is watching him on screen in real life. At least for two minutes online. Ian McShane, who plays Blackbeard, introduces the video. Check it out and tell us what you think?

Jack Sparrow and Barbossa embark on a quest to find the elusive fountain of youth, only to discover that Blackbeard and his daughter are after it too. Watch the latest official trailer and another Pirates featurette.

Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides is directed by Oscar nominated director Rob Marshall, whose only previous directing credits are Chicago, Memoirs of a Geisha and the musical Nine. The screenplay was once again written by franchise regulars Ted Elliott & Terry Rossio, based on Tim Power's book On Stranger Tides. Disney is releasing Pirates of the Caribbean 4 in theaters, in 3D, starting on May 20th this month.
