When blood is spilled, legends are made. Yesss! This is the trailer you've all been waiting to see, finally the red band where they don't have to hold back. Beheadings, brutal violence, lots of fighting and yelling and blood flying everywhere, this is the Conan the Barbarian trailer we've all wanted! Lionsgate debuted the trailer via IGN, so try and watch it below if their crap video player works for you. Jason Momoa stars as Robert E. Howard's Conan the Barbarian, a mythical warrior who goes on a quest to avenge the murder of his father and the slaughter of his village. We also finally get a little bit more dialogue, but who cares. Enjoy.

In addition to Momoa, Conan the Barbarian stars Ron Perlman, Rachel Nichols, Rose McGowan, Stephen Lang, Steven O'Donnell and Saïd Taghmaoui as Ela-Shan. This is being directed by Marcus Nispel of the Friday the 13th remake, that atrocity Pathfinder, the other Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake, and a bunch of music videos. This is a Nu Image/Millennium Films production co-produced by Avi Lerner and Joe Gatta and is based on the classic characters created by Robert E. Howard which first debuted in 1932 in Weird Tales. Lionsgate is bringing Conan the Barbarian to theaters in 3D starting on August 19th this summer.

The nu-metal (or whatever that music is called) detracts from it, also having two people say the same line in the a trailer is just weird Still, looks like a fun movie, if it reviews well I think I'll get the blu-ray and watch it on the couch.

I love the REH Conan stories but This look pretty bad but I will watch it in a theatre just because I wont give up hope on Conan. Will probably cry in front of the silver screen as the credits roll and my heart will once again be broken by another ruined Conan movie

Honestly did not want to see this, but i am so impressed with Jason Momoa's performance as Khal Drogo in Game of Thrones that i think he can definitely pull this off if people give him and the movie a chance.

When I saw Red Band Trailer than I was expecting to see Rachel Nichols nude and getting it hard. Whatever, I will skip on this lame movie.

As someone who plays the Age of Conan game and also has read all of Robert E Howard's books I can safely say this looks alot better than I expected. For one thing I thought they were going to mess it up by removing the gore, but it seems to be just as violent as it should be. Looks like a decent film so far and I will go see it.

Agree, it does look better than expected. Nispel is not a favorite director of mine and I doubt this will have much of a story but, it does look entertaining enough to warrant consideration.

Is it probably going to suck? Of course. But who cares? Alex had it exactly right. It looks like it'll be fun, and as long as it's not SO bad as to be laughable, as was Pathfinder, it serves its purpose.

Real swords *do* tend to bounce off each other. They're not solid slabs of metal, they're flexible blades. If they didn't bounce, they'd break.

Who gives a fuck? Americans are dumb asses who will pay for such kinds of movies until they have no money left. To fight this trend in film-making, is akin to yelling at the sun for being too bright. Just fucking embrace the shit, and leave your pretentious fucking thoughts at home. The cinema is a place to forget all your troubles and enjoy yourself. Jason Momoa is a badass, and it looks like he and the cast had a blast making this movie. Haters gon' hate!

Clever, but no, Geoffrey. I admit that there is a glut of terrible movies out there, but seriously, so many people require movies to be of the highest quality. What is so wrong with liking a movie where a buff dudes runs around killing baddies and sexing up pretty ladies. Its uncomplicated, entertaining, and fun. Not every movie has to be a home run. Sure you can sit up on your high horse and call everything "shit" and "looks terrible," but sometimes there are movies that should be easy to understand and have plots that don't require critical thinking. And seriously, whatever happened to the lesson we all learned as kids, "If you don't have anything nice to say, then STFU!"

while i was watching game 7 of the stanley cup finals(in canada)whilst my bruins were up 3-0,we started to celebrate hardily with our beer and jovial and non-riotous feelings,there was a young woman sitting in front of us who did not impress us with her all around airheaded gum chewing dimwitedness.She turned around and gave us a look of "Whatever,blah blah blah."To which i replied "you know you wouldnt be here if it was chicago and boston.she looked offended at the comment,but she knew i was right and turned around.I wanted to continue ,but my brother said "enough"(i was pretty drunk at this time,keep in mind)What i wanted to say afterwards was if vancouver were as good as you are pretty they would have swept the bruins in 4 games.Now how she would have reacted is anyones guess,but in my drunken state i tend to be pretty mouthy towards people who think they are hot-$#it,so if she reacted in the "you're a loser" way that i would expect,my next statement would have been "but this is vancouver were talking about,like your fake tan and those ridiculous eyelashes and all around phoney facade who would rather be watching the jersey shore than hockey...no wonder they lost. Watching this conan trailer made me think of that moment,it could have had the championship feel of a boston bruins,but instead made me feel like it was a big dissapointment like those canucks.i cant say it made me want to break stuff though,i reserve that type of emotion for movies like wolverine...

WHY can no one give us a good hack n' slash movie???? Its really not that hard! Did they really think a music video director would in any way know what to do with a hardcore character?? The guy looks like a Hollister model! This had so much potential for win. But instead of being the next "300" it'll be another epic fail for the Pathfinder director. Ingredients for good Conan movie: gritty/gory/real looking action (something like "Valhala Rising"'s brutal fights), true masculine actor (think MMA, not GQ), follow as closely to existing source material as possible while translating it to a solid screenplay, HAVE a screenplay (Notice theres not being even a hint of plot in a single trailer or description for this? Thats cause there won't be). Are they really expecting cheap one liners and fake looking swords to get us excited? If I wanted that I'd borrow a season of Xena from my mom.

It deserved to be made into an epic reboot that could have overshot the first films and brought some real originality to the table. It doesn't. And who said this looks "badass"?!! REALLY? Are you five? I'm having trouble grasping how anyone can have hopes for this still. Sorry to pick fights everybody, but please go watch some decent action flicks, then watch the trailer again and maybe you'll catch the difference.

Actually looks better then I expected. Still, all action and no plot definitely is showing it's ugly head once again. The lifelike gore is certainly a step in the right direction. But why tell a story if there clearly is not one. Either Hollywood is too stupid or the "regular joe" is. I have a feeling it's a bit of both. Enough with the 3D shit too. Too many stupid gimmicks and meaningless stories. Someone mentioned MMA above me? The world needs less douchebags and more real/true people, thanks.

If you'd bother reading his statement, not just skimming it, you figure out he was talking about the physique of Conan being all show muscle (big chest n arms, skinny waist) with 0% body fat like a GQ cover model would, instead of a fighters muscle (smaller definition, possibly sparse amount of fat, wider and more muscular midsection and back). Swing a sword around for a few hours and guess where you'll be hurting... your back and abdomen.

what i'm trying to say: compared to big budget movies like...Suckerpunch (what a mess) and Pirates 4 and etc, this is a fun movie full with action. The future of the cinema is grim anyway, expect dc/marvel comics reboots till we drop dead cos for this is want to went to see, and payed, this is what you'll get in the future.

I'd be lying if I said I was familiar with Conan as much as you fanboys, but I have to say that this trailer got me excited for this movie. There...I said it. Will it be crap, probably, but it really is too early to say honestly. I just know I'm definitely going to see this in theaters. I don't know what the hate is about, its not like they made this with the goal of getting a few Oscars sheesh. Probably the same losers who hated on Suckerpunch because they expected Inception and got girls fighting samurais, dragons, and robots instead.

Actually I think it looks awesomes. People just can't get off Arnies balls, he could barely speak in the original Conan and this had more action in the trailer than the whole original Conan movie. Of coure it'll be bad, it's a film about a Barbarian, but I'll still watch it just because the blood looks like raspberry sauce.

I still cannot get over Conan's face in that poster. Why would they shadow it so aggressively, to the point that he looks like some sort of demented grandmother? In the next picture (and GoT) he looks just fine, but in that poster he looks legitimately deformed.
