"It is time for the next phase of your journey…" On top of that teaser trailer for Puss in Boots, DreamWorks has also released a new full-length theatrical trailer on Apple for the sequel Kung Fu Panda 2, the highly anticipated sequel to their 2008 animated hit starring Jack Black and the Furious Five. We've already seen a teaser and some TV spots for KFP2, but this trailer explores the story in the sequel and it looks awesome. Look how crazy epic it gets when they're fighting at the end - this looks like it's going to be amazing! And it's rare I say that about a DreamWorks movie, but damn, I'm in! You definitely don't want to miss it. Skadoosh!

Po & the Furious Five head to China to battle a villain and uncover the secrets of Po's mysterious origins.
Kung Fu Panda 2, officially known as Kung Fu Panda: The Kaboom of Doom, is directed by Jennifer Yuh, a former storyboard artist and the head of story on Kung Fu Panda, whose only past directing experience was on the Spawn animated TV series. The script for this sequel was written by Jonathan Aibel & Glenn Berger (both of MADtv, King of the Hill, Kung Fu Panda, Monsters vs Aliens). Paramount is bringing DreamWorks Kung Fu Panda 2 to theaters everywhere in 3D on May 26th this summer. It's the Year of Awesomeness!

all right, I in. It seems the charm from the first one is still imprinted, and that's a damn good thing.

Does look pretty funny, the first one was good too. How are they making Puss in Boots and this? Is puss in boots made by the cleaners?

So great. The first one was a great "origin story". The universe-building, if you will, is a good direction to go, establishing Po's backstory, and delving into the Kung Fu Panda universe's mythology (Master Flying Rhino, anyone?). Movies like this make the kid in me happy.

Epic? Really? This looks like the usual fair for Dreamworks Animation. Goofy silly and universally boring. How is that possible with that amount of talent under one roof?

By "Universe" you mean "Your Universe" right?

yeah I agree, jack black in a computer generated panda suit doesn't strike me as particularly epic either.

Uncle Walt, was How to Train your Dragon goofy, silly and universally boring? Personally, you just described Toy Story 3, Cars and Cars 2. This looks like fun, and I've always got time for some fun in the cinema. ha.
