Alien. Joker. Celebrity. Slacker. Fugitive. Yeah… it's Paul. Universal has just debuted a brand new official trailer over on IGN for Greg Mottola's Paul, the sci-fi comedy starring British duo Simon Pegg and Nick Frost as, well, two British geeks who meet an alien named Paul, voiced (and acted) by Seth Rogen. We've already seen a teaser trailer and international trailer, both of which looked hilarious, and this new footage looks awesome as well. We get a better look at the story and all of the crazy characters and I still can't wait to see this. It seems like the perfect movie to see stoned buzzed with a bunch of friends. Check it out below.
Watch the second official red band trailer for Greg Mottola's Paul from YouTube:
Two British comic book geeks (Frost & Pegg) traveling across the U.S. encounter an alien outside Area 51.
Paul is directed by filmmaker Greg Mottola, of The Daytrippers, episodes of "Undeclared", Superbad and Adventureland previously. The screenplay was written by the two co-stars, Nick Frost and Simon Pegg, of "Spaced" and Shaun of the Dead fame. Apparently they rebuilt most of the Comic-Con showfloor out in New Mexico to shoot some of the big convention scenes in this. Universal is bringing Paul to theaters everywhere on March 18th next month. Stay tuned for more updates and visit the official website: whatispaul.com.

I'll save the $2 on the Reese's Pieces and get them at the supermarket, then save $10 by staying home. This movie literally is SETH ROGEN AND OTHER COMEDIANS. Same bullshit, different "setup". Sadly I liked The Green Hornet (expected same ol' Rogen, but he tuned it down nicely) and I was over hating Seth Rogen... until now.

Frost + Pegg = awesome movie. They are probably one of the best comedy duos of all time. I haven't enjoyed comedies as much since the old Zucker Bros / Mel Brooks stuff stopped getting made, but damned if these guys don't hit their high-water mark.

The reese's pieces joke is pretty good, i wonder if paul would share them with ET?

I love Frost and Pegg, and Seth Rogen is fun too. But these jokes are tired, and Rogen's voice is incredibly distracting for a CG character in a live action flick. Huge pass, I can't believe anybody is getting a good vibe from this.

This is the first thing Simon & Nick have done that I have zero desire to see...Rogan's voice irritates me.

Liked it until the entire cast of SNL showed up with Seth Rogen in tow. Pegg and Frost are above this. Looks terrible.

Either hollywood has conditioned everyone to laugh at whatever stupid shit they produce out their asses or there are some liars in here faking like that was funny. How in the world could anyone think anything in that trailer was the least bit amusing. Tired jokes, terrible casting (Rogan especially), pointless plot. I'm so tired of films coming out that are absolutely worthless...what happened to clever writing?

The film really isn't that bad. It was released here in the UK on valentines day. I liked it over the other pegg/frost movies (A controversial statement amongst my friends) and Rogen isn't that bad at all. The similarities between this and ET are obvious and all of the other homages stick out just as much. I don't get the hate on here for this movie. If you have watched the trailer you obviously have some interest so just go and find out for yourselves.
