"China will be our next war zone." Holy sh*t this sells well. An official trailer for martial arts flick Legend of the Fist: The Return of Chen Zhen (that's the full title) has debuted on Apple, starring Donnie Yen as martial arts legend Chen Zhen (also played by Bruce Lee, Jet Li) as well as Qi Shu and Anthony Wong. This is basically a period piece with some badass fights in it, and it's pretty damn good, but I didn't love it. I saw it in Toronto and enjoyed it, but found it to move too slowly at times. Anyway, this trailer makes it look badass and I actually want to see it again. Be sure to check this out, I'm sure a lot you will love it. Have fun!

The script was written by Gordon Chan, a fellow writer/director of films like 2000 AD, The Medallion and Painted Skin. It premiered at the Venice & Toronto Film Festivals and is being released by Variance Films & Well Go USA on April 22nd next month!

i actually saw this film already. Its Donnie Yen, playing Chen Zhen who was played by Bruce Lee. Donnie Yen does an awesome job not only portraying Bruce Lee but he fights like him and at times its almost scary. This was an awesome film. The best thing about Donnie Yen is that he's not just an awesome martial artist but a damn good actor. @Redguy- That is Kato's costume from The Green Hornet.

ok so...the costume is like kato's, but has nothing to do with him? it's misleading :))

I wouldn't say he fights like Bruce. He applies a great deal of acrobatics, which was not Bruce's style at all. Bruce was obsessed with ground tactics and for a long time believed that any kick above the waste was foolish.

I have already seen the film myself and Donnie Yen does an awesome job. But the movie itself is pretty boring when there is not fighting going on, the story is not very compelling.

I would watch this movie again for just his stunts but yeah the movie itself is weak.

whoa....I love how it looks like he has weight to him when he leaps over the car. It gives it a more vicious feel than other kung fu movies. Not like others where they look very "floaty" when they jump over stuff

To the writers of this site: Save the criticisms of a film until after it's released to us non-VIPs who cannot go to "Toronto". It makes me, for one, angry to hear that someone has seen a movie months or a year even before any of us "normal" cinema goers can. I recommend only saying good things about a project, similar to what video game previews do, then they rip apart what they didn't like in the actual review at the time the game is released. I don't mean to sound negative, but I am sick as hell of hearing about Toronto.

Snore, seen it. great fight scenes lame story like most recent HK flicks. glad Donnie could fit into Jet's "Black Mask" costume. still can't understand why Donnie doesn't get more USA screen time. he has all of the physical tools and acting skills needed. plus he was born here and doesn't have the language barrier. would much rather watch him do action than 99% of the western actors.
