Carnage Trailer

"You're blowing this all out of proportion!" Sony Pictures Classics has finally debuted the official theatrical US trailer for Roman Polanski's Carnage, his feature adaptation of Yasmina Reza's highly acclaimed stage play God of Carnage, starring four great actors: John C. Reilly, Jodie Foster, Kate Winslet and Christoph Waltz. This comedy played to some mixed reviews in Venice, but this new trailer makes it look quite hilarious, and definitely worth seeing. I've seen the play and it's very funny and the cast Polanski has gathered with this dialogue and story will be truly funny to watch. I highly suggest checking out this trailer!

From Knife in the Water to Repulsion to The Tenant, French filmmaker Roman Polanski has shown himself to be an absolute master at making the most restricted spaces come to dramatic life. In Carnage, aided by four remarkable performances, he has "reached a new pinnacle in his already extraordinary career." The screenplay for Carnage was adapted from Yasmina Reza's highly acclaimed stage play God of Carnage by both Reza and Polanski. This was shot entirely in Paris, produced by SBS Productions and Constantin Film. Sony Pictures Classics is handling US distribution, and is bringing Carnage to theaters this fall, starting December 16th. It's playing the Venice Film Festival and opens the New York Film Fest, but not Toronto.

This looks hilarious. Polanski is a genius and he should be allowed to set foot in America.

you said this other places. Must be a kate winslet fan.

Polanski is a rapist who deserves to serve time for his crimes.

Relax Izzy. Time to get over it. Just because you were abused doesn't mean you need to hold this grudge.

Charlie Nobody on Oct 10, 2011

you need to back off charlie - just because you don't understand right from wrong doesn't mean you should be writing such ridiculous posts.

because someone has talent, they should be exonerated for their crimes? I hope you're never on a jury

Leo Fleming on Oct 10, 2011

Michael Jackson's moonwalk and the fact that he stopped the war in Bosnia by creating a lightning storm and bringing an elephant back to life got him off, so it's high-fives for Polanski too.

Crapola on Oct 12, 2011

i love the trailer and look forward to seeing the movie; HOWEVER, it has nothing to do with polanskis private life........and he SHOULD be in prison..... and NEVER allowed to set foot in america until he does his time.

*No Children were molested during the making of this trailer

Geoffrey Shauger on Oct 10, 2011

Six knuckleheads in front of me and no one talks about the flick. Looks good, I'm in.

Anonymous on Oct 10, 2011

so,  your  in depth comment of "looks good, i'm in" is considered talking about the movie?

Anonymous on Oct 11, 2011

Child molestation is fairly common in hollywood. Lots of big name people are perps and/or were victims. L.A. is shrouded in mystery and protected by higher forces that perpetuate the crimes. Polanski has been singled out, apparently, because he probably made the wrong film or said the wrong things the "higher powers" didnt want him to. Lynch portrayed how it all works in Mulholland Drive (though symbollicaly of course)  Look what happened to Kubrick after he made "Eyes Wide shut" (which no one understood, of course), which exposed sexual exploitation involving political elites? I could name the real political figures who were portrayed in that film, but i realize, sadly, that this post is already lost to some, and they would not understand the significance of the whole thing anyway.

oh grow up ya elitist twat

Gotohellyastaff1000 - let me guess?  you're a conspiracy nut?.....or just a nut.

As i have previously stated, no one here will understand, nor want to understand, nor deserve to understand how anything really works in society. Now go back into your caves and watch the shadows pass by on the wall like good little sheep. Good day.

Gotohellyastaff1000 on Oct 11, 2011

that's right - you're right and the everyone else is wrong..........

Allegory of the Cave in a movie website comment section? Awesome. Agree with you, too. Most of your idols have done terrible things. You people shouldn't be so naive.

Nice shout out to Polanski's early classics, including 'Knife in the Water'. He's one of the greatest directors still working today.

Marcus on Oct 10, 2011

Isn't that Jodie Foster who won an oscar portraying a rape victim....I'd like to thank the academy.

apart from ripping of the clockwork orange trailer, I'm all about it!!!

Pedophile or not, that looks good.

pointless humor

I think that all the post rape movies pale to his pre-rape movies. Perhaps a couple more good old fashions child rapings would put old Roman back on his game! That shrewd little midget sure could rape!

Hmmm looks like a modern day Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?
