Plenty of industry experts, critics and bloggers like us are finishing up their predictions as to who will take home an Oscar when the 83rd Academy Awards are broadcast this Sunday, the 27th at 8/5PM EST/PST on ABC. But there's no one better suited to deliver Oscar winner predictions than Oscar the Grouch from PBS' children's program "Sesame Street." The dirty, green Muppet took the time out of his busy trash-loving schedule to make his predictions on who will take home various awards like Best Actor, Best Documentary, Best Picture and more. If you haven't heard any trash-laden puns this week, this will help meet your quota.
Video is from AOL via Bleeding Cool. That zinger to Hollywood about producing trash is absolutely golden. We definitely won't be forgetting that one anytime soon. Honestly, I'd love it if more Muppets got involved in matters outside of teaching kids to read and write. It was really fun to see Cookie Monster show up on "Saturday Night Live" with host Jeff Bridges awhile back. Really any show can always use more Muppets. At least we'll get to see plenty more of the iconic puppets when Jason Segel's brand new Muppets movie hits theaters this year - we're still waiting for a trailer, too. It's definitely one of my most anticipated of the year.

OSCAR! I love any character from Sesame Street even as an adult they always continue to find some way to make you laugh...a recent appearance from Telly, the Cookie Monster & Elmo on Top Chef was probably the funniest thing I have seen in a long time!

After all the poor choices the Academy has made since the Saving Private Ryan debacle, this OSCAR is the only one worth watching anymore . I am surprised that the Academy hasn't claimed copyright violations on his name though!

I hope INCEPTION wins but I highly doubt it. The academy always go for boring movies for best picture.

Inception was not best picture material...

Great minds think alike. I did an Oscars video as well that features Oscar the Grouch... except in my case it's a big black nerd in an Oscar the Grouch costume. There's also a R. Kelly song parody. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aXi-wjSdGGo
