"This operation's over before it even begins." Paramount has debuted the second full theatrical trailer via Yahoo for Brad Bird's Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol, starring Tom Cruise back as Ethan Hunt. This is a follow-up to the first teaser trailer that hit back in June, and we finally get a much grander look at the overall story elements in this. Ghost Protocol, which as we know means the IMF is entirely shut down and invisible, also stars Jeremy Renner, Paula Patton, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames, Léa Seydoux, Josh Holloway, Tom Wilkinson, Michael Nyqvist and Anil Kapoor. Fire this new trailer up below!

Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol is directed by Oscar winning filmmaker Brad Bird, of animated films The Iron Giant, The Incredibles and Ratatouille previously. This stars Tom Cruise as Agent Ethan Hunt along with a supporting cast including Jeremy Renner, Simon Pegg, Josh Holloway, Tom Wilkinson, Paula Patton, Léa Seydoux and Michael Nyqvist. Producer J.J. Abrams crafted the story with Cruise, and writers André Nemec and Josh Applebaum (both of "Alias", "Life on Mars") penned the screenplay. Paramount is bringing Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol to theaters and in IMAX starting December 16th this winter.

So Holloway is the villian? This looks pretty good...excited to see Renner paired against Cruise, Patton, and Pegg.

Looks like a CGI crapfest. After part 3 I was pumped for this, won't be travelling to IMAX for it that's for sure.

Mostly the explosions. The opening one looked terrible and just started it off wrong for me. Let's hope it looks as good as JJ's.

uhhgg . Think they really need some help making trailers. This was not very good and I hate to even say it. But the first trailer was actually better then this one. 🙁 I will see MI on day one no matter what. But these trailers concern me.

Where is his wife?! She has already gone through so much, then he didn't quit? He does not treat her right, and he seemed so nice?!? This is how all men are. And while this does look exciting, why does he keep letting camera men follow him on these missions? I wonder why he keeps getting compromised?? Duh. Ugh whatever. Men are all the same.

The wife and love interest angle has always been flawed. MI2 was awful because of it. Slow mo intro for Thandie Newton and that movie went straight to crap. His wife in MI3 was another useless and pointless part of the movie. Hopfully they just forget about his wife in MI4. No mention at all would be nice.

I'm aware that Concerned Wife is trolling but I believe that the MI movies are not connected with one another. There's the same character name "Ethan Hunt" but its like a different dude and apparently different laws of physics. Not sure if you could call it a reboot.

Every Mission: Impossible movie is set in its own alternate reality/universe.

I am 120% in for this. Looks like great fun. And you have to admire the tongue in cheek moment in it when Jeremy Renner does „the M:I-classic of going down somewhere being suspended by a cable and only stopping inches off the ground“ – over a pointy thing!!!

They should play some Batman infront of this! This actualy looks good, and I'm not surprised, brad bird has proven time and time again he is a great director, plus apart from M:I2 this franchis has been great for action.

I seriously can't wait, I just wish this came out during the mostly disappointed summer, it'd be refreshing.

Woohoo! Paula Patton looks like a strong, empowered and sexy IMF agent. Hahah.. freakin' fantastic, can't wait! Man! I feel like a woman!

Paula Patton flaunts her sexy new post-pregnancy curves in this movie which probably added to her performance in delicious and wonderful ways.

They give away far too much in this trailer. I don't know why I watch these stupid things.

Omfg they messed with the theme song again!?! wtf!? The first trailer was perfect imo. I was in at that point. This trailer seemed like a step down. They ruined a lot of what could have been nice surprises. I hope people that wanted more story are happy (seriously).

Just came back from the movie. I enjoyed a lot! defiantly the action movie of the year. Light self importance, great humor. Loved every minute of it
