Must Watch: 'Star Wars' as Recreated by Simon Pegg and Nick Frost

Fortunately the overlord of Skywalker Ranch hasn't decided to remake his classic sci-fi opera Star Wars (though the 3D theatrical re-release of the entire saga begins next February), but I wouldn't put anything past George Lucas. However, a couple of our favorite Brits have made their own attempt at recreating the first installment in the classic film series (no, not The Phantom Menace). Simon Pegg & Nick Frost take the roles of droid buddies C-3PO & R2-D2 as they wander through the deserts of Tatooine. Unfortunately, only one scene ended up getting completed, and you'll see why after you watch this hilarious segment below.
Honestly, these guys are very much like a British, contemporary incarnation of Abbott and Costello. I could watch Frost and Pegg just eat oatmeal and would probably still laugh my ass off. Not only are they naturally hilarious, but they just feel like the kind of guys that every movie nerd could hang out with and just have an absolute blast. In addition, you can bet I'll be checking out Greg Mottola's Paul with Pegg and Frost when it hits theaters this weekend (check out the trailer here). I'm definitely be looking forward to laughing at many more Star Wars references in the extraterrestrial comedy. Who else thinks Pegg/Frost are hilarious?

The easiest way to describe Pegg and Frost is that they like Ant & Dec's older brothers.

That's the worst description I've ever heard., I'm not just being a troll but seriously how are they anything like Ant and Dec, and they're younger than them as well I'm pretty sure

Hilarious. A shot-for-shot remake would be brilliant. I could watch definitely watch them parodying Star Wars for 6 hours.

I hate to be THAT guy but, R2D2 and C3PO wouldn't have remembered having been to Tatooine before. Their memories were erased at the end of Episode III. That's how George Lucas got around that huge plot hole anyway.
