John Dies at the End Teaser Trailer

"Nothing your seeing is real." Time for a little trippy horror fun. Not long after debuting preview footage at Fantastic Fest, the first full teaser trailer for Don Coscarelli's new film John Dies at the End has debuted on their official website tonight (via AICN). This indie horror/fantasy/comedy stars Chase Williamson and Rob Mayes, and also includes Paul Giamatti, Clancy Brown, Glynn Turman and Doug Jones. I really think this does look quite fantastic, and very weird, but mostly just awesome. If you're still confused by what's going on, there's an interview with the real David Wong on that explains. Have fun!

Watch the first teaser trailer for Don Coscarelli's John Dies at the End, via YouTube:

It's a drug that promises an out-of-body experience with each hit. On the street they call it Soy Sauce, and users drift across time and dimensions. But some who come back are no longer human. Suddenly a silent otherworldly invasion is underway, and mankind needs a hero. What it gets instead is John and David, a pair of college dropouts who can barely hold down jobs. Can these two stop the oncoming horror in time to save humanity? No. No, they can't. Based on David Wong's 2007 book. Written & directed by Don Coscarelli (Phantasm I-IV, The Beastmaster, Survival Quest, Bubba Ho-Tep). They're still looking for a distributor, but we expect to see this in theaters 2012 sometime. Cool, but the production kinda looks amateurish. Can't put my finger on it. Maybe the pace, or the sound..

Yeah, this was poorly edited. And the acting on the younger cast members sucks.

I likes! Looks very odd, but in a good way.

Let's see, Phantasm and Bubba Ho-Tep: Two awesome movies. Paul Giamatti and Clancy Brown: Two amazing actors. Yep, I think its safe to say this is going to be quite a film to experience. Cannot wait!

Looks like a must-see. Was that Clancy Brown in that trailer towards the end? The Kurgan? Awesome!

Judasbarronx1 on Sep 26, 2011

hell yes that was Clancy Brown. I love that guy! "No brain, no pain."

I love when Doug Jones and Andy Serkis play "human".

I'm so in, just hope that it was me feeling cheese at some points in it like the Matrix references.
