Sympathy for Delicious Trailer

Maya Entertainment has debuted a trailer on Fandango for Sympathy for Delicious, directorial debut of actor Mark Ruffalo about a paralyzed musician played by an actual paralyzed actor named Christopher Thornton. As uplifting as this trailer looks, I've heard nothing but terrible things about it, as it premiered at Sundance back in early 2010. In fact, our own Brandon Tenney saw it and said it pretty much "sucked." I always hate to talk about trailers like that, but it's better to know the truth than the version they're selling. This looks like it might have some great performances, but I can see how it looks like a mess. Watch below.

A newly paralyzed DJ (Bloom) gets more than he bargains for when seeking out the world of faith healing.

Sympathy for Delicious is the directorial debut of Oscar nominated actor Mark Ruffalo, whom we all know from films like Zodiac, Shutter Island, Just Like Heaven, The Brothers Bloom, The Kids Are All Right, and coming in 2012, The Avengers. The screenplay was written by Christopher Thornton, an actor & writer who was paralyzed from the waist down after a rock climbing accident. This premiered at the Sundance Film Fest in 2010. Maya Entertainment will bring Sympathy for Delicious to theaters starting April 29th this spring.

As a paralyzed man myself it's good to finally see a movie with someone in a wheelchair played by somebody in a wheelchair!! It's about time!! Bravo Ruffalo!!

If this concept is interesting to anyone then you should definitely look into Jason Becker. They are in the process of making a documentary about his life and how he continues to create amazing music despite the fact that he is completely paralyzed, only being able to control his eye movements. http://www.jasonbeckermovie.com/
