Plot Details & New Cast Members Revealed for 'Piranha 3DD' Sequel

Back in October we learned that Feast director John Gulager would be at the helm of Piranha 3DD, the sequel to last year's over-the-top- blood and nudity filled tongue-in-cheek Piranha 3D, the remake of the original 1978 film from director Joe Dante. Well, earlier this week production officially began on the sequel in North Carolina, and with the start of principal photography we have a list of new cast members joining the sequel including Danielle Panabaker (The Crazies), Matt Bush (Adventureland), Chris Zylka (The Amazing Spider-Man), David Koechner (Anchorman), and Megan Tandy (Unstoppable). More below!
Oh, and in addition, one of Hollywood's craziest will be involved with THR reporting Gary Busey has landed a role in the film as well. Relatively unknown names Paul James Jordan, Jean-Luc Bilodeau, Hector Jimenez, Adrian Martinez, Clu Gulager have also joined the cast, and more will apparently be announced soon. Let's hope that means the surviving cast members from the original will also be back for another go round. I'm pretty sure Elizabeth Shue survived right?
Anyway, the sequel pronounces that there's something in the water…again. And this time no one is safe from the flesh eating fish as they sink their razor sharp teeth into the visitors of the best summer attraction, The Big Wet Water Park. Flesh-eating fish in the middle of a big water park? This is going to be sweet. The fish will feast just in time for Thanksgiving when the film hits theaters on November 23rd this year. North Carolina?!? Oh, brother. I guess it's good to have films being made in my home state, but why did it have to be this one?

"Is it officially becoming a movie about the attack of the breasts and naked girls !!!???" And that's a bad thing? In all seriousness, though...that's what the first one was about, and was unapologetic about it. And I enjoyed it. I wasn't expecting CITIZEN KANE; I went in knowing it was going to be blood, breasts, and babes and the killer fish that go after them. That's what I got, and I enjoyed the experience.
