Right now she's being dubbed the Sundance "It" girl as she's starring in two films here at the Sundance Film Festival (see our coverage here). Elizabeth Olsen (sister of the Olsen twins) not only leads the horror remake Silent House, but she's also getting a lot of buzz for her role in Martha Marcy May Marlene (a film we're reviewing later this week that just got picked up by Fox Searchlight). It looks like her work has paid off as THR says Olsen has landed a role in director Rodrigo Cortés' (Buried) film Red Lights. And this time she's working with quite a cast that already includes Robert De Niro, Sigourney Weaver and Cillian Murphy.
The film tells the story of a psychologist (Weaver), and her assistant (Olsen) whose study of paranormal activity leads them to investigate a world-renowned psychic (De Niro). Apparently Murphy will play the young actress' love interest, but Olsen says "that's not a huge part of the story." Since Olsen is still in school at New York University, she will take a break from school to shoot the film which is currently pre-production. We'll have a better idea of what to expect from Olsen after we see her supposed breakthrough role in Martha Marcy May Marlene (watch the trailer here), but for now, I'm just anticipating seeing Rodrigo Cortés next project. How about you?

right now, i'm into this only because of DeNiro and weaver.......that kind of star power is hard to ignore - hopefully the movie continue to get positive buzz.
