Tribeca Films has just debuted their new official trailer on Apple for Massy Tadjedin's Last Night, an indie romantic drama starring Keira Knightley, Sam Worthington, Eva Mendes & Guillaume Canet. It's about a married couple apart for one night. This is actually a beautiful trailer, I love how subtle it is, I really really want to see this. It played at Toronto last year and I missed it, but I've heard great things from quite a few people. The reason that score is so wonderful is because it's from Clint Mansell, but I am not entirely sure if what we're hearing in this is his work from the film or not. Give this a chance, it does look very good.

The story in Last Night follows a married couple, apart for a night while the husband takes a business trip with a colleague to whom he's attracted. While he's resisting temptation, his wife encounters her past love.
Last Night is both written and directed by Iranian-American filmmaker Massy Tadjedin, making her feature directing debut after writing screenplays for The Jacket & Leo. This premiered at the Toronto Film Festival last year. Tribeca Films will be bringing Last Night to limited theaters starting May 6th early this summer.

Indy dramas sometimes miss the boat at building real tension. For me, there is nothing more tense than a seemingly happy married couple about to do something that could destroy their marriage. This trailer did a good job of building that tension. Hopefully, it's not just the trailer; rather, a indication of the film.

I'm always game for a romance (not very manly, I blame Breakfast at Tiffany's) what's great about this one is the fact its not a sappy rom-com. The cast is great, Knightley and Mendes are both beautiful actresses (although I'd totally pick Knightley over Mendes any day!). I'm still a big Worthington fan (He's just likable) and Canet (who I'm unfamiliar with) seems talented. I'm in.

I think it is definitely worth checking out. It looks interesting. Especially if it is just to hear the Clint Mansell soundtrack!

As I said before,if you find thyself with a girl like Kiera and you have the possibility to go with Eva Mendes...you would break off and keep moving with Eva...come on admit it! loll Everybody is a hottie except Kiera. Canet is the husband of Marion Cottillard and the soon to be father of their child. He is also a great director with some smashes on record. Kiear is the luckiest to be in this...

I'm glad to see Sam Worthington in something different than the usual cyborg-mythologicalhero-soldierfromthefuture role. We will see if the guy can do some (cool, it seems) drama!

Great film. Canet and Knightley were fantastic, the use of Explosions in the Sky and M83 on the soundtrack made it all the better.

Saw the film. Thought it was quite good actually. Good performances(yes, incl. Worthington!) drove this "small" economic idea. A solid script with consistently good dialogue. Oddly enough for a relationship drama, this film kept me on the edge of the seat almost all the way through!
