The Golden Briefcase - Warrior

On this week's episode of The Golden Briefcase, Tim and Jeremy are joined by Germain Lussier from SlashFilm to go over their latest Picks of the Week, the newest in DVD & Blu-Ray releases, talk through the new trailers for Martha Marcy May Marlene and The Human Centipede 2 (Full Sequence), Jeremy talks up a Michael Mann classic and much more! The topic of the night was a discussion on contact sports films in honor of Gavin O'Connor's Warrior hitting theaters everywhere this weekend. The guys go through some of the best and worst examples of those movies, and compare and contrast them to other sports films.

The Golden Briefcase is also broadcast LIVE on Tuesday nights starting at 7:30PM (PST). You can listen in via our Ustream page or by visiting our own live page right here on FS. The podcast is just as fun to listen to live while it's being recorded, with plenty of special guests, so I suggest you tune in the next time it records!

4M's: terrible title, but looks to be good; HC2: terrible title, and looks terrible; Thief: awesome movie, somewhat underrated; I really want to buy First Class, but I am worried about its "re-watchability"; I wasn't really that excited to see Warrior, but after Jeremy's praise, consider my interest piqued. Great show guys!

I love The Human Centipede (First Sequence) and I love you guys 🙂 Why do I enjoy that movie you ask? 😀 Well, it's true everything great is spoiled in the trailer and once you know the concept it's.. almost a boring film. But I still am in love with it, because of the atmosphere, concept, dialogues, acting all very good (Dieter freakin' Laser, man). Dr. Heiter: Oh my gosh, he's so amazing, truly an icon for me, quite simply one of the best Horror villains (I especially like his backstory). And then there's the fact that I grew up with German cop TV Shows and this movie is very "German" (or at least let's say European). And even when Heiter is not thinking rationally, he's still so very charming. Also, I tend to like characters with sexual deviations (like in Blind Beast, Hostel: Part II, Death Proof and other films). All in all just a fun film I watched with my brother (who is also a Horror fan) on Halloween, had a great time with my beamer (yea, maybe it was also the experience). Good show, keep rockin'. Much love much respect from me as always. Thank you for existing Jeremy <3
