Olivia Thirlby / Julianne Moore

Back in January of 2010 we heard that Robert De Niro would be re-teaming with Little Fockers director Paul Weitz for an adaptation of Nick Flynn's book Another Bullshit Night in Suck City. Along with a likely title change, apparently a once attached Casey Affleck is no longer involved with the film, and instead Paul Dano has stepped up to join the project. Now two more additions to the cast have been revealed as Deadline reports Olivia Thirlby (Juno) will play the love interest and The Film Stage has learned Julianne Moore (The Kids Are All Right) will also have an unknown role in the adaptation about a father and son. Read on!

The story follows an the unconventional relationship between an eccentric, brilliant and homeless father and his son (Dano) who is a caseworker at a Boston homeless shelter. Thirlby plays Dano's love interest who helps him get the job at the shelter. As we said, it's unclear what role Moore will play but her involvement with the project was discovered on a casting call sheet for the film looking for a stand-in for the actress on set. De Niro's track record lately leaves something to be desired so hopefully with this great source material and a decent cast, he can return as the quality actor we all love. What do you think?

Disappointed that Casey Affleck's no longer attached. Would have been great to see him against DeNiro.
