Thomas Jane

Just last week we learned that veteran filmmaker Walter Hill was suddenly stepping up to replace Wayne Kramer as the director for a new action flick called Headshot starring Sylvester Stallone.  The story will see Stallone as a hitman pairing with a young NYPD detective in a high-stakes investigation that leads from the dingy back alleys of New Orleans all the way to the power corridors of Washington, D.C. The unlikely duo is fueled by the death of each of their partners and are willing to sacrifice everything for revenge. Now JoBlo has learned that Thomas Jane will star as the young detective opposite Stallone in the film. Read on!

Speaking to JoBlo's Arrow in the Head podcast, Jane revealed the news himself, calling the script "fantastic." He went on to speak about Stallone and the dynamic between their characters, "He's a hitman, I'm a cop, and we're just opposite in every fucking way, and we need each other to get this job done. And of course I'm like, 'As soon as this job's over, I'm going to take you to jail, you know, you're a killer.'" So it sounds like Jane's character doesn't have a problem getting revenge with Stallone, but still wants to arrest him for his hitman killings. Will we see Jane and Stallone face-off in the end? We'll have to wait and see. Sound good?

This is very disappointing. They should have cast someone like Shia LaBeouf, Anton Yelchin, Penn Badgley, Chad Michael Murray, Chace Crawford or James Lafferty as the NYPD detective.

Wrong. Those actors still need a parent or guardian to go see rated-R movies.

Check the URL, because Arrow in the Head is part of the JoBlo network, and you'll see that we mention the podcast right at the beginning of the second paragraph.

Re Gemma's comment--25 year olds opposite Stallone? Really? This isn't a teeny bopper movie.

don't get me wrong...lovez me some Thomas Jane but he isn't exactly young (not that he's old either). I just wouldn't refer to him as a young cop

lol "young detective". say what you will about thomas jane, he is definitely not young. No doubt he will portray a "young" NYPD detective who wears curiously large amounts of makeup.
