'Transformers: Dark of the Moon' Gets Early 9PM IMAX 3D Showings!

Ready or not, the summer is moving along! Paramount has announced that Michael Bay's Transformers: Dark of the Moon, starring Shia LaBeouf, originally scheduled for July 1st, then moved up to June 29th, is now having special early showings on the evening of June 28th, the Tuesday in just over a week. The screenings will be IMAX 3D presentations starting at 9PM in IMAX theaters around the country. The movie will open wide beginning at 12AM on June 29th, so three hours if you can't make it or don't want to see 3D, but lots of opportunities to see what Bay has in store for us this time. Optimus Prime is back again!
"Michael Bay has created an incredibly engaging and immersive 3D experience with this latest movie, one that will undoubtedly be among the most entertaining movie going experiences of the summer," said Paramount's Vice Chairman Rob Moore. Let's hope it delivers on that promise, but from everything I've heard about it so far, I have a feeling it's going to be quite awesome, as in really good. I don't think everyone can believe that yet, but I've got a feeling Bay really did redeem himself and deliver something awesome (as a finale). I cannot wait to see this! Who's planning to go to one of these new 9PM IMAX showings?

Why? Seriously. So they can have a record 6-day opening weekend? Just open it on a Friday like normal people.

I really hope TF3 beats the shit out of Harry Potter in terms of money (doubt it will get rave reviews, but who knows.. maybe those snobby critics forget to act like elitsts for once..)

Or maybe the Harry Potter movies are just a tiny bit overrated? At least that's how I see it. I thought deathly hallows pt 1 was somewhat deathly boring *Insert rimshot* No? I understand that there was just too much to put into one movie but wasn't one of the other books way longer than deathly hallows and it fit decently into one movie? Anyways. I am really looking forward to Dark of the Moon and am 110% sure I will enjoy it.

Harry Potter hasn't had one American actor in none of the movies. If you don't support America, I don't support you.

There's practically no doubt Dark of the Moon will beat everything; there's just been too much hype preceding its release!

I am pretty sure tickets will be sold out pretty quick where I am at plus I am not that motivated to try. I prefer catching a weekend matinee show.

That's exactly what my IMAX theater said. No 3D or IMAX versions there, but regular 3D is available.
