Hugh Jackman

When we heard recently that The Social Network star Armie Hammer hand landed the role of the prince in Relativity Media's developing The Brothers Grimm: Snow White, news that Viggo Mortensen would no longer be playing the huntsman in Universal's Snow White and the Huntsman came along with it. Looking to beef up the cast even more now, Deadline reports Universal has sent out an offer to Hugh Jackman to step into the role. The delay of The Wolverine following Darren Aronofsky's departure from the project leaves an opening in his schedule, but the actor is still trying to get that project a new director.

Combine Jackman with Kristen Stewart as Snow White and Charlize Theron as the evil queen and the film should be appealing to several different audiences. Of course, the project still has to contend with the fact that it will hit theaters after Tarsem Singh's The Brothers Grimm: Snow White. Jackman would make a great supporting protagonist, but it's just a matter of if he's willing to do it. Hopefully, Jackman doesn't get caught up in the Snow White project that comes in second place at the box office. Honestly, I'd like to see him find a new director for The Wolverine to get that project going, but I don't want it to be rushed. What do you think of this casting?

Do we really need 2 snow white projects? I feel like the 2nd one will really be hurt by the first one coming out first.

I am getting confused...like Guy said; there is one too many Snow White projects. I am pretty sure the one which gets off the ground first would end up being the only one being made. I guess that is why they are rushing to get the casts in. I honestly don't want Hugh Jackman in this. Anything with Kristen Stewart will definitely being geared to the whole "Twilight" crowd and I think he is much better of an actor to be serving that kind of genre. And if it means delaying The Wolverine...hell no!

He would be a good replacement for Viggo. Am I referring to the right film? Who knows? While the Twilight crowd will no doubt go see this because of Kristen my feeling is that is for a more... mature audience. Or something.
