Amanda Seyfried in Gone Trailer

"I'll sleep when he's dead." Summit has released the first trailer for the thriller Gone, directed by Brazilian Heitor Dhalia, starring Amanda Seyfried as a girl whose sister gets abducted, and now she thinks the serial killer has returned for her. I'm with Brad Miska in saying that this looks "50% awesome and 50% god awful", because I'm hoping it's a great movie in the end, as I'm a fan of Heitor Dhalia and hope he does well. I think I hear more of the Tron Legacy score in this, and it's a rather intense, revealing full-length trailer, so enjoy. Also co-stars Jennifer Carpenter, Sebastian Stan, Wes Bentley, Joel David Moore and Michael Paré.

Watch the first official trailer for Heitor Dhalia's Gone, in high def thanks to Yahoo:

Jill Parrish comes home from working the night shift to discover that her sister Molly has disappeared. Jill is convinced that Molly has been abducted by the same serial killer from whom Jill escaped the year before and that by sundown Molly will be dead. The police think Jill is crazy, so she sets out alone to rescue her.

Gone is directed by up-and-coming Brazilian filmmaker Heitor Dhalia, of the films Adrift (one of my faves), Drained and Nina. The screenplay was written by Allison Burnett, of Bleeding Hearts, Autumn in New York, Resurrecting the Champ, Feast of Love, Untraceable and Fame previously. Lakeshore Ent. and SKE Films produced, and Summit is bringing Gone to theaters on February 24, 2012 early next year. Um, yea?

uh..does this remind anybody else of "Kiss the girls" and yea I agree with Mp, bet they'll roll the dice to Wes Bentley as the guy. Ummm that's definitely kiss the girls.

" she things the serial killer has returned for he..."   hmmmm.... maybe you guys need a new editor or someone who can proof read your stuff before you put it out here................. I believe you meant to put "thinks" instead of "things" just a thought tho

well, since were nitpicking - it's "though"......"tho" isn't a word.

you're an idiot, proof read that!

yes and your mother is too

I'm going with either she killed her sister and made this whole story up or the whole movie will make you believe she is just crazy and then be like oh twist there was a killer after all. Either way it looks boring.

Fivedollarfootlong on Nov 17, 2011

The thing is there seems to be a handful of different possibilities for twists and we've only seen a two minute trailer. Hope this is the only one hey show because curiosity is the only draw to a film like this. Pretty damn good trailer

the first third of the trailer looked pretty good; but, the rest of it was terrible. i'll pass.

+1 for the „WHERE IS SHE!?“-counter

Felix Naumann on Nov 18, 2011

Looks so so, I'd only watch it for Amanda Sayfried & Jennifer Carpenter.
