One Day UK Trailer

"I love you Dexter, I just don't like you any more…" I'm not really sure how it happened, but the first trailer Focus Features put out for Lone Scherfig's drama One Day was pretty awful, it made the film look like nothing more than a cheesy new rom-com. But now, thanks to MSN UK (via Empire) we have a brand new international, or rather UK, trailer for One Day that finally makes this look much better. Anne Hathaway and Jim Sturgess star as ill-fated lovers Emma and Dexter. It gets a bit cheesy when the voiceover comes in after the second half, but it builds up to a charming and sweet ending, I thought. Still can't wait to see it.

Watch the latest international trailer for Lone Scherfig's One Day originally from MSN UK:

After spending the night together on the night of their college graduation, Dexter & Em revisit each year on the same date to see where they are in their lives. They are sometimes together and at other times, not.

One Day is directed by acclaimed Danish filmmaker Lone Scherfig, of An Education, Just Like Home and Wilbur Wants to Kill Himself previously. The screenplay was written by author David Nicholls and is an adaptation of his own very popular novel. This was produced by Random House Films and Film Four. Focus Features is bringing One Day to theaters everywhere starting on August 19th late this summer. Thoughts?

It's an MSN trailer, it acts weird, you have to make sure there are no other MSN pages open, etc. Refresh and try again is your best bet for now.

Duffy tune on the soundtrack? Looks okay, was filming the other night where one of those scenes is. They went to Uni in Edinburgh?

The poster sold me, and the trailer just makes it all the better.

Argh looks good, buts still... the accent, it grates, especially as a Northener. It's a shame they couldn't have just cast someone who could grasp the accent

uhh....When Harry Met Sally in London? People will watch anything if it momentarily eases their anxieties of dying alone.

We all die alone Tyler, even when we die together.

This reminds me of "A Lot Like Love," but instead of laughs and charm, you get loads of sadness.  Just a first impression, don't hate me.

I am def a Jim Sturgess fan! I like Anne Hathaway but after I see this film, I have a feeling I will like her even more. I know it's an unusual love story, I still want to see it
