Pixar's Cars 2 Trailer

"How would you like to come and see the world with me." Disney has unveiled the first theatrical trailer for Pixar's Cars 2 over on MSN today, which may seem odd to hear because we've already seen so many teaser trailers and TV spots, but yep, this is the full theatrical trailer. Most of the voice cast is returning, like Owen Wilson, Larry the Cable Guy and John Ratzenberger, but they've got plenty of new voices, including: Michael Caine as Finn McMissile, John Turturro, Bruce Campbell, Jason Isaacs and even Eddie Izzard. By making this "James Bond meets Cars", they've got me hooked, I really want to see it. Check out the trailer!

Watch the theatrical trailer for Pixar's Cars 2 (originally from MSN, but broken so now YouTube!):

Cars 2 sees Lightning and Mater traveling around the world for the Race of Champions that includes other disciplines like Formula One. Mater ends up in a 'Hitchcockian' case of mistaken identity, saves the life of a British secret agent named Finn McMissile and becomes embroiled in a spy thriller but no one believes him.

Cars 2 is being directed by former Pixar producer Brad Lewis, who is making his directorial debut following producing work on Ratatouille. We've also heard that John Lasseter has returned to Pixar to help co-direct, but Disney is quick to deny that. No screenplay credits are listed yet for Cars 2. Disney will be bringing Cars 2 to theaters everywhere in Disney Digital 3D starting June 24th in the middle of the summer. Look good?

Love the poke at japanese toilets at the end. Had my doubts before, but this could be fun...

Looks pretty dull. I'm a pixar film but, really, of all their films, Cars least deserved a sequel.

Not judging 'till I see it; it's still a Pixar film so I have high hopes - and expectations ;)) - but that's it.

My son loved the first movie but I don't know how I feel having him watch this one. It looks like a lot of the action/plot will go right over his head and I am not a fan of all of the guns and shooting.

I'm not crazy about talking cars. It's just as weird as talking vegetables! But I can see this a marketing scheme to sell toys to small boys.

I worship Pixar, literally (I sacrifice small animals every full moon in their honor), but all teasers and trailers of Cars 2 seen so far make me think of Mater's Tall Tales (the Tokyo episode). Hopefully there are better things to come in the movie we haven't seen yet...

A sequel to the worst Pixar movie... Hrm. As Nic said, it will be the first Pixar movie I won't see in the theater
