"Welcome to the mission." Focus Features has debuted a second, new official trailer for John Madden's espionage thriller The Debt, starring Helen Mirren, Tom Wilkinson and oh yea, this is the one with Sam Worthington, too. This was supposed to be out last year, but the Miramax sale caused it to be delayed, now Focus Features is taking over and here's their version of the trailer, since we did also see one last year. They're obviously overselling the thriller side of this, as there are dual storylines in past/present, but it still looks good, at least if you can stand Worthington in something like this. It's an impressive trailer.
Watch the second official trailer for John Madden's The Debt:
In 1965, three Israeli Mossad agents on a secret mission kill a notorious Nazi war criminal. Now, 30 years later, a man claiming to be the Nazi has surfaced and a former agent must go undercover to get the truth.
The Debt is directed by British filmmaker John Madden, of Ethan Frome, Shakespeare in Love, Proof and Killshot previously. This is a remake of an Israeli film called HaHov. It was rewritten by Matthew Vaughn & Jane Goldman (of Kick-Ass and Stardust) as well as the original writers Ido Rosenblum & Assaf Bernstein. Focus Features is bringing The Debt to limited theaters on August 31st this year. Visit the official website.

kind of reminds me of Spy Game. I know it's totally different, but I feel like that's how they're going to implement the past and future storylines in it.

I'm dying to see this! Reminds me of Munich and that movie was great. The cast is excellent, Mirren, Chastain, Csokas, Worthington, Wilkinson, Hinds. I'm sold yet again!
