Everyone Gets Older, Not Everyone Grows Up! Paramount has finally unveiled a trailer for Jason Reitman's new film Young Adult, written by Diablo Cody, starring Charlize Theron as the girl from high school you always hated that grew up and became nothing more than a girl you now hate even more. This is the latest comedy from Reitman & Cody, who brought us Juno, and it seems to involve a bitchy girl going back to her hometown to hook up with her high school sweetheart. The cast includes Patton Oswalt, Patrick Wilson, Elizabeth Reaser and Collette Wolfe. This looks funny, I hope it's as good as Reitman's others!

Update: In addition to that original trailer above, SlashFilm has debuted their own exclusive new trailer for Young Adult that features a slightly different set of jokes and footage, but is mostly the same. You can watch it in full right here below, to give you a second look at Reitman's Young Adult with Charlize Theron:
These are the first two trailers revealed after the first look back in August and the first official teaser poster, designed like one of Mavis Gary's young adult book covers. Arriving in theaters this fall! Worth seeing?
Academy Award winner Charlize Theron plays Mavis Gary, a writer of YA teen literature who returns to her small hometown to relive her glory days and attempt to reclaim her happily married high school sweetheart (Patrick Wilson). When returning home proves more difficult than she thought, Mavis forms a bond with a former classmate (Patton Oswalt) who hasn't quite gotten over high school, either. Written by Oscar winner Diablo Cody, directed by Oscar nominee Jason Reitman. See the first look photo right here. Paramount is bringing Young Adult to theaters starting December 9th limited, wide the 16th, this winter. Thoughts?

Nice!! Love this trailer and the song reminds me of Life Aquatic. I must say I'm pumped for this. I just adore Diablo Cody's writing and dialogues!

Either the trailer is bad or the movie is. I like Reitman but this doesn't look at all appealing to me.

While I have no doubt about Reitman's direction of this film, it's Diablo Cody's writing that scares me.

Looks funny. I think the make-up was a bit harsh, some of them looked like meth-heads not just normal people who don't get enough sleep. Though before I have a coffee in the morning I also look like that.

Now that's fun. P.s. Up in the Air was painful, to watch. There I said it.

I wouldn't be as harsh, but yeah, such an overrated movie...

Nice. I was ready to hate this, but it looks like Diablo Cody really toned down the bullshit.Â

Haven't seen the preview, but saw a screening of the film itself, tonight, in Chicago. Â Cute, quirky characters, and fun! Â I recommend it -- entertaining! Â (The Q&A with Jason, Diablo, and Patton afterwards was quite fun and energetic!)
