It's kill or be killed. Nobody is safe. Though the last installment of the franchise may have bee touted as The Final Destination, Hollywood just can't resist another sequel. And so here we are with the first trailer for Final Destination 5. It seems to have everything that fans have come to love and expect from the franchise complete with tension-filled, unique deaths, and a tease of that one big disaster that the characters will soon come to regret surviving as Death comes looking for them. The good news is, in addition to the young, lesser known victims, franchise star Tony Todd seems to have a more significant role in it. Enjoy.

In this fourth sequel, survivors of a suspension-bridge collapse learn there's no way you can cheat Death.
Final Destination 5 is directed by up-and-coming filmmaker Steven Quale, who was recruited by James Cameron from USC in the 80's and has worked on FX for The Abyss, Terminator 2 and even directed the documentary Aliens of the Deep. The screenplay was written by Eric Heisserer (A Nightmare on Elm Street, The Thing remakes). This is the fourth sequel in the Final Destination franchise which began back in 2000. Warner Bros is bringing Final Destination 5 to theaters everywhere 3D starting August 12th this summer.

IHMO, this trailer is fucking horribly edited. People know this stuff. They know the concept. You will not gain major new audiences with a fifth installment of a franchise. Just show us most of the stuff in the beginning and a few sneak peeks from the deaths afterwards. How hard can it be to edit a good Final Destination Trailer?

My wife and I both love this series of movies. Yeah we know how bad they are but thats what makes it fun for us to watch. Can't wait for this.
