In Time Trailer

We've been waiting to finally see something—posters, photos—from the new thriller by Andrew Niccol (Gattaca, Lord of War) that's now officially titled In Time, formerly known as Now. The semi-sci-fi thriller stars Justin Timberlake and Amanda Seyfried and is set in a future where no one can live past the age of 25. Everyone has digital clocks on the arms and must purchase/steal/acquire "time" to keep on living and use as currency. The introductory four-minute sizzle reel of footage that they debuted at the Fox panel at Comic-Con today has hit the web via IGN. It looks good, but honestly seems a bit generic. I hope I'm wrong!

Watch the full Comic-Con sizzle reel of footage from Andrew Niccol's In Time, via IGN:

In the future people stop aging at 25 and must work to buy themselves more time, but when a young man finds himself with more time than he can imagine he must run from the corrupt police force to save his life.

In Time, originally titled Now and also I'm.mortal at one point, is both written and directed by New Zealand-born screenwriter-director Andrew Niccol, of only Gattaca, S1m0ne and Lord of War previously. He's also credited for writing The Truman Show and The Terminal, and is attached to direct Stephanie Meyer's The Host adaptation. Fox is finally bringing In Time to theaters starting on October 28th this fall.

I like Justin Timberlake and I love Cillian Murphy, soooo...I have no choice but to watch this, and it really doesn't look bad at all.

That looks pretty cool

pretty interesting concept looks cool

Jalts4 on Jul 22, 2011

A bit of the story is like Logans run, on the fact that instead of 25 its 30 years you get to live b4 its time to say good bye.

LV426 on Jul 22, 2011

I'm glad I'm not the only one that remembers the movie Logan's run

Earl on Jul 23, 2011

I think I just saw the entire movie...

MJ on Jul 22, 2011

I'm gonna pay money to see this! Its a good concept, good casting and had a good esthetic... I'm game. "I'm.mortal" was a lot more catchy though, I'd love to know why they opted for a much less potent title. Copy right issues maybe?

Richie on Jul 22, 2011

Can't copyright a generic title. They may have just not been willing to fight for it. Or maybe they had another reason if they changed it. Title does suck. They have to be able to do better then that.

I cant make up my mind, the trailer was too short

I would give 80 years to be with Amanda Seyfried 😛 I like the concept but it can't be too much in your face or it will eventually look rediciulous. Looks like something out of a Philip K. Dick's book, i'm digging it. Justin Timberlake doesn't look strong in this I'm afraid.

Timbo can't carry a picture I'm afraid. Maybe in 5 years, after he does his time.

sick concept

kwame adansi on Jul 22, 2011

way too much in one trailer... i almost saw the end of it.

I can't tell if I would like this or not. I like the concept and it looks kinda cool, but... I don't know. Something seems off. Maybe because I watched the trailer for Drive right before this and that trailer seriously kicked ass.

Andrew Niccol can't fail. He's a fucking genius.

meh.  Looks boring.

ff on Jul 23, 2011

Looks like a great remake of the movie called Logan's Run from 1975, outstanding remake of the sci-fi movie. Timberlake plays the character Logan 5 (Michael York), the only difference in the movie is based upon the age of 25 versus the age of 30 in the original movie. Can't wait to see it should be interesting. Earl

Earl on Jul 23, 2011

Looks interesting, but I wish it starred Ryan Gosling instead of Justin Timberlake.

Laurent on Jul 25, 2011

No thanks!

Tyler Danger on Jul 25, 2011

Cillian Murphy will be this picture's redeeming factor.

JL on Jul 28, 2011

Didn't know Alex Pettyfer was in this, or the guy from White Collar. I gotta say the concept of the film had me interested, but the cast is really quite astonishing.
