Sucker Punch TV Spot

"Your mind is the greatest weapon." It's never too early to post the first of something, so here it is, the first 30-second TV spot for Zack Snyder's Sucker Punch, debuted online via ComingSoon. We've seen a whole hell of a lot for this stylistic, female-led fantasy-action movie already, including a couple of trailers, handfuls of posters, BTS featurettes and so much more. But it's coming down to the last month left before release and Warner Bros is revving up the engines to make sure everyone is out in theaters seeing this. I personally can't wait, I still think it looks awesome, like pure popcorn entertainment that I've got to see in theaters. Enjoy!

NEW: Watch a second TV spot for Zack Snyder's Sucker Punch:

Sucker Punch is Zack Snyder's first movie not based on previous material, but an original idea that he came up with and turned into a screenplay with co-writer Steve Shibuya. Set in the 1950's, Sucker Punch follows Baby Doll (Emily Browning) who is confined to a mental institution by her stepfather, who intends to have her lobotomized in five days. While there, she imagines an alternative reality to hide her from the pain, and begins planning her escape, needing to steal five objects to help get her out before she is deflowered by a vile man. Warner Brothers is bringing Sucker Punch to theaters on March 25th next month. Who else is in?

I just saw a slightly different TV spot just now, nearly identical to the first online one but rushed. Although re-arranged it is still the same footage, so I'm not any more (or any less) interested in seeing this. Not impressed by the amount of hype, but I'm pretty sure it's the right way to go on this. It looks like a CG-Heavy, plot-light action movie that isn't trying to be another big "action-comedy" or blockbuster, just a good CG-Heavy, plot-light action movie. Say what you want about Zack Snyder, and least he doesn't run around and bulls#*t about his work with change filmmaking/blow you away/break new ground/set new standards blah blah.

These women make my pants feel funny

I'm there opening night BUT....i'm fairly worried about the performances. Browning seems to have 2-3 emotions...tops. So idk.

It's just pure commerce so I can't take it too seriously.

I definitely dig Snyder's stylistic approach to film. I also like that this movie feels sort of like a video game in a sense where the main character has to find items to complete her quest. I'm sort of a nerd so that appeals to me. I'm certainly looking forward to this, and where I'm not expecting to have my mind tested, I am for sure expecting my testosterone levels to jump up a few notches.

Zack has never let us down, looks like another great movie. Heck, I think he might even turn me onto Superman like Nolan did with Batman 🙂

It'll be a fun movie. Great graphics. Not sure if the story will live up, but WOW, those ladies look so good I'm not sure I'll even care!

kindo like putting lots of great concept art into a grinder then putting it into an embryo that flowers into a film. I hope the slowmo in this is so slow that it actually reverses time. Didn't this film come out about 10 years ago? How long have they been advertising it? Seems like foreeeevvvaaaaaaaaaa.

this will be the end of Snyder and his 300 glory. bring something new to the table Zack...

Redguy on Feb 16, 2011

What, this isn't "something new" enough for you? Tell you what--why don't YOU try and bring "something new" since you obviously know what that might be? Me--I'm going to wait till SP comes out and then I'll see it and then decide whether it was worth it or not.

Marc McKenzie on Feb 16, 2011

The two trailers were enough. I don't want to see any more until the movie is released in cinemas. Less is more?

Number Six on Feb 16, 2011

You've written the smartest thing I've seen in a while. Why not just wait until the film comes out instead of gorging yourself on every scrap of info about it? I am curious about this film, and I've liked Snyder's previous works, so....I'm giving this a chance.

Marc McKenzie on Feb 16, 2011

Eh, this movie just doesn't do it for me. I hope it does well though, I got wasted with Emily Browning and some people I vaguely knew a few years ago, she is a sweetheart.

Fantastic movie! Spectacular speciall effects and great done scenes betwen the middle and the end part. I liked all that mistery, unpredictable elements and great acting. Hot girls, Guns, Explosions, Nazi's, Robots, Samurai's and Dragons. Awesome I cant wait this kind movie. Watch Movies Online Free
