Insidious Teaser Trailer

"It's not the house that's haunted… it's your son." Oh yes, this is such a perfect teaser trailer to introduce all of you to the scary new story that Saw, Dead Silence & Death Sentence director James Wan has brought us in his latest creepy horror film called Insidious. This stars Patrick Wilson and Rose Byrne as the loving parents of, well, a possessed son, but it's so much more, including being a haunted house movie for the first half. I saw it at the Toronto Film Festival and loved it (read my full review) and now we have the first teaser trailer from ShockTillYouDrop. It's a fantastic teaser for a creepy new horror movie - so check it out below!

Watch the first teaser trailer for James Wan's Insidious:

A family tries prevent evil spirits from trapping their comatose son in a realm called The Further forever.

Insidious is directed by acclaimed horror filmmaker James Wan, who previously directed the original Saw film (both the short and feature) from 2004, and followed that up with Dead Silence and Death Sentence. The screenplay was written by Wan's filmmaking friend Leigh Whannell, who wrote the original Saw (and also starred in it) and also wrote Dead Silence. It first premiered at the Toronto Film Festival last year and was picked up by FilmDistrict for distribution. Insidious hits theaters everywhere on April 1st this spring.

Excellent teaser, but can the movie deliver or just be a dirty teasing whore?

Maybe the movie is worth seeing, but this teaser is crap... ok, it's just a teaser and there is time for another trailer, but man it sucks big time. I might check it out; I need to see another trailer though.

i've been looking forward to this for a long time - i love rose byrne. also, the woman near the end who says the house isn't haunted - she was in "dead end" and i really liked her in that.

cool that you have seen it and liked it, Alex; on the trailer's evidence aone, any film that sells itself first before anything else as 'from the makers of PA and Saw...' has me put off, but i'm guessing there's more to the film than jump cuts and big bursts of orchestra. just once, be nice to see a trailer with measured mood and atmosphere.

The story reminds me of Poltergeist.

This teaser doesn't really tease me to see it. I think they should've had a full length trailer. i guess I'll have to wait.

I saw Insidious at TIFF. Pretty good, even though it relies mostly on jump scares.
