A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas

"Who are those guys?" New Line Cinema has debuted the first trailer, via Yahoo, for A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas, the third movie in the Harold & Kumar franchise following Escape from Guantanamo Bay in 2008. Kal Penn and John Cho are back once again as our two favorite stoners, and of course Neil Patrick Harris makes an appearance, too. This first trailer is absolutely ridiculous, and absurd, but it couldn't be a more perfect trailer to show in front of 30 Minutes or Less this weekend. The comedy in this looks like the standard Harold & Kumar craziness, but it's all the stupid 3D effects that are putting me off.

Todd Strauss-Schulson makes his feature film directing debut with this holiday comedy written by franchise creators Jon Hurwitz & Hayden Schlossberg, and starring Kal Penn and John Cho as our titular stoners. Neil Patrick Harris returns for some of the Christmas craziness that was shot in 3D, complete with some sort of claymation sequence throwing back to classic Christmas specials from decades past. Patton Oswalt, Thomas Lennon, Danny Trejo, Eddie Kaye Thomas, David Krumholtz, Elias Koteas and more also come along for the ride in this holiday comedy which hit theaters on November 4th this year. You in?

Haha, this looks awesome. I love how NPH just rolls with the gay-to-straight jokes, such a funny guy I want him to be my eccentric uncle.

This looks promising! Puts a 3D to a good use. And for those wimps who hate 3D, go see it at a regular screen next door. I don't want to hear you gripe about 3D!
