This Must Be The Place Trailer

"Actually, Mick Jagger sang with me." Time to get a little taste of Sean Penn in drag. Our friends at Twitch have uncovered the first trailer for an indie film called This Must Be The Place, directed by an Italian filmmaker starring Sean Penn as a "bored, retired rock star" who hunts the US to find the ex-Nazi war criminal who killed his father and "track down and confront his father's nemesis." Despite premiering at the Cannes Film Festival this summer, it received mostly mixed-to-negative reviews, so I'm not sure I'm all that interested in it, even though this trailer does seem intriguing. At least it's well-made, I may yet check it out.

Watch the first trailer for Paolo Sorrentino's This Must Be The Place originally from Twitch:

A retired rock star sets out to find his father's executioner, an ex-Nazi war criminal hiding out in the U.S.

This Must Be The Place is written and directed by Italian filmmaker Paolo Sorrentino, making his English language debut after directing One Man Up, The Consequences of Love, The Family Friend and Il Divo previously. The screenplay was co-written by Sorrentino and Umberto Contarello (The Missing Star, A Question of the Heart, The Passion). This first premiered at the Cannes Film Festival this year. Trinity Entertainment will be bringing This Must Be The Place to theaters, but hasn't set an official release date yet.

Looks interesting but even at full volume I have trouble hearing what is being said most of the time. I don't know if they made the music to high or my laptop is messing around

I can't tell if it's genius or pretentious... But I like it.

So that's where Robert Smith has been.

I'll watch this, what a weird mix of themes going on there. It'll be good when all the old Nazi's die and they won't able to make another hunt an old man who used to torture people film, well at least a nazi one anyway, there's still plenty of torture going on.

Before I saw the trailer I thought Penn's to be cross-dresser. But Trailer looks great anyway.

I just love mumbling, especially when it's drowned out by a random ass song. Seriously though, I couldn't make out half of Penn's lines.
