Watch: First Trailer for Upside-Down Thai Crime Noir Film 'Headshot'
"How does it feel to see the world upside down?" There's a trailer for a Thai film called Headshot that you've got to check out, mostly for the concept. Thanks to a tip from Film School Rejects, Headshot is about a hitman who gets shot in the head and wakes up seeing the world upside down. Basically, his vision is flipped, which causes him to have a completely different view on life. It looks good, and FSR's Rob Hunter likens Thai filmmaker Pen-Ek Ratanaruang to Christopher Nolan, but that's quite a bit of a stretch. I definitely do want to see this at some point. Just be warned - this trailer is NSFW as it has some sex/nudity.
Watch the first official trailer for Pen-Ek Ratanaruang's Headshot, straight from YouTube:
Tul (Nopachai Jayanama), a hitman, is shot in the head on a job. He wakes up after a three-month coma to find that he sees everything upside down, literally. Then he meets a girl that turns his world even more upside down. Who was trying to kill him in the first place? Visit the film's official Facebook page for more.
Headshot is both written and directed by award-winning Thai filmmaker Pen-Ek Ratanaruang, of films like 6ixtynin9, Invisible Waves, Transistor Love Story, Last Life in the Universe and Nymph previously. The story is based on the novel "Fon Tok Kuen Fa" by Win Lyovarin. This doesn't have a US distributor yet, but it did premiere at the Toronto Film Festival earlier this year, so we might hear more info soon. Thoughts?

Interesting idea, but I wonder how much of this upside down jazz I can stomach.

This looks amazing! If the story is as good as the trailer makes it look, this movie could be great. The upside down concept is interesting too, but even that aside, the trailer is really good.

So, why did they call this "headshot" which sounds pretty generic, and not just "upside down"?

"Headshot" more like "Headache." (waits with raised eyebrows, no one laughs)

You just KNOW there'll be a US remake.... There should be strict laws in place to protect from doing so.
