Nuit Blanche! I usually prefer to wait until a trailer comes out that actually has subtitles, but because this is one of my favorite films of the year, I'm posting this anyway. Twitch has put up an official French theatrical trailer for Frédéric Jardin's Sleepless Night, the action-thriller that we raved about after seeing at TIFF a few weeks ago. Even though this is in French and does not have English subtitles (yet), it's worth watching to get an idea of the action and intensity and why this is a must watch as soon as it does hit US theaters. It's already getting a remake, but this is the original that's definitely worth watching as soon as possible. Enjoy!
Watch the official French trailer for Frédéric Jardin's Sleepless Night, embedded via Twitch:
A cop races through a packed nightclub, dodging drug dealers, and corrupt cops in a mad chase to rescue his kidnapped son. Sleepless Night is written & directed by French filmmaker Frédéric Jardin (The Sister Brothers, Cravate club), co-written by Nicolas Saada, starring Tomer Sisley as a cop who gets mixed up with a drug lord who runs a massive nightclub in Paris. When his son gets taken hostage, he ends up being chased all around the club by Internal Affairs agents, the drug lord and his cronies, and many others. This premiered at the Toronto Film Festival in Midnight Madness this year and is being remade by Warner Bros, but doesn't actually have a US distributor yet. We'll definitely let you know when it does get one, stay tuned!
