"This film will offer a ton of bullets and explosions and it's gunna feel like an adventure in a very foreign place." That's your hard sales pitch right there. A full-length featurette for Chris Gorak's sci-fi The Darkest Hour has hit the web uploaded by an international distributor on YouTube. The video focuses partially on Moscow and shooting the film in Russia, as well as the story and how it all unfolds when an alien invasion occurs there. The featurette has the cast of young actors, Emile Hirsch, Rachael Taylor, Olivia Thirlby and Max Minghella, talking about their characters and storyline. I still think this looks kind of awesome!
Watch the new featurette for Chris Gorak's sci-fi The Darkest Hour (premiered by FoxSingapore):
Directed by Chris Gorak (Right at Your Door), produced by Timur Bekmambetov (Wanted, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter) and written by Jon Spaihts (Ridley Scott's Prometheus), the film is about five young people who find themselves stranded in Moscow, fighting to survive in the wake of a devastating alien attack. Emile Hirsch (Speed Racer) leads the cast including Olivia Thirlby (Juno), Max Minghella (The Social Network), Rachael Taylor (Transformers) and Joel Kinnaman. Summit Entertainment is bringing Chris Gorak's The Darkest Hour to theaters on December 23rd, Christmas weekend, this winter.

i'm not very impressed with the cast; (except for hirsch) but, i'll probably rent - however, if these aliens did come here for electricity - how "advanced" can they be? surely, there has to be more to their motives than that.

Looks pretty silly, I'll have a look, maybe like that movie with Thandie Newton where it's set in contant darkness. Still watch it anyway.
