Extraterrestre Teaser Trailer

I don't even know what they're saying and I can't wait to see it. When strangers Julio and Julia wake up in the same apartment, groggy and hung-over from the night before, the last thing they are expecting is to discover that an alien invasion has taken place. In Extraterrestre, Spanish filmmaker Nacho Vigalondo (Timecrimes) melds science fiction, romance and black comedy in his latest feature about the darkly fascinating aspects of the human psyche. This looks quaint, quiet, charming and just damn good, but with that "black comedy" side, I expect there's more to it. Enjoy the first Spanish-language teaser trailer below!

Watch the first teaser trailer for Nacho Vigalondo's Extraterrestre, embedded via YouTube:

"There’s only one sane response when you wake up to a sky full of alien invaders – run like hell. But what do you do if the invasion starts when you’ve just met the girl of your dreams?" Extraterrestrial / Extraterrestre is written and directed by Nacho Vigalondo, of the Oscar nominated short 7:35 in the Morning and time-travel flick Timecrimes. The film stars Michelle Jenner, Carlos Areces, Julián Villagrán, Raúl Cimas. "Julio wakes up - horribly hungover and with no memory of the night before - next to a mindblowingly sexy girl, in a stunning apartment. She wants him to get out now but the alien invasion that's just begun outside is the perfect excuse for Julio to stay." Premiering at the Toronto Film Fest this month.

I'm spanish so...here's the translation: Credits: If you wake up in the perfect place. Next to the perfect girl. Guy: I'm gonna get dressed, ok? Girl: Ok. Listen, sorry...(points to him, like asking for his name). Guy: Julio. Girl: Oh, I'm Julia. Guy: Oh, what a coincidence. I don't know why but I thought your name was Luisa. Anyway, after yesterday, as if I was gonna remember anything... Girl: Listen, aren't you worried about someone? Credits: But you feel like a stranger. Girl: Sorry But I need to (...) a person. Guy: There's nobody on the streets, even if it is Sunday? Credits: Don't worry. Guy on radio: Calm down and stay at home until one unit of the emergency service gets there. Credits: This Sunday, you won't be the only one. Girl: How big is it? Guy: Almost 7 kilometres. Girl: I'm sorry, I'm really tired. I'm going to bed. EXTRATERRESTRIAL. A film by Nacho Vigalondo. Here you go ;). P.S.: Curious thing: the actress, Michelle Jenner, is the spanish voice of Hermione Granger in the first 4 Harry Potter movies.

Whats great is that I don't speak Spanish and got almost all of that right (minus the credits). This looks interesting.

"Girl: Sorry But I need to (...) a person." This actually is: "Sorry, but I need to be alone." I heard it a few more times coz I wasn't sure 😉

I am always disappointed when aliens are used as a crutch for something unrelated instead of being a thoughtful focal point of the movie.

Where's the aliens? Or are we just gonna watch the two huddle in their home wondering what the aliens look like?

Sort of puts me in mind of 1954's "Target Earth", but with much better production values.
