"Fill me with only what I need to fight." Wow, this looks much better than I was expecting! A brand new full-length trailer for Joe Carnahan's The Grey, starring Liam Neeson as one survivor of a plane crash in the Alaskan wilderness, has hit the web thanks to BoxofficeBuz. We featured the first teaser trailer back in September, but this is the full-on story trailer and whoa, does it look fantastic. There's a lot more depth to the characters, how Neeson is introduced to his fellow workers, the balance of insanity and his visions of his wife, the fear and intensity, it looks amazing, honestly, I am impressed. Now I truly cannot wait to see this!
Watch the early promo sizzle-reel for Joe Carnahan's The Grey, embedded from BoxofficeBuz:
The Grey is written and directed by Joe Carnahan (The A-Team, Smokin' Aces) and produced by filmmaking brothers Ridley and Tony Scott. Liam Neeson leads a group of Alaskan pipeline workers hunted by wolves in the frigid wilderness after their plane crashes on their way back home. James Badge Dale ("The Pacific"), Dallas Roberts ("Rubicon"), Dermot Mulroney (Flash of Genius), Frank Grillo (My Soul to Take), Nonso Anozie (RocknRolla) and Joe Anderson (The Crazies) all co-star as fellow oil rig roughnecks in this man vs. nature thriller which will hit theaters on January 27th early next year. Ladies and Gentlemen, you just watched the entire movie.

I thought it was going to be some kind of drama about a guy lost in the wilderness braving the elements to get home to his woman. Then it turned into an action/horror thriller about very intelligent wolves who kill for sport. Ah well, still looks cool, and for some reason I can't get enough of Neeson.

Hmm let's see, director is Joe Carnahan, ok.. Narc was pretty good but then there was shitty Smokin Aces and another bad film called The A Team. Im pretty sure The Grey will be amazing... not.

i heard about that too. I don't see why people and shitting their pants about this movie being bad. I'm definitely looking forward to this movie! and this new trailer stoked the fire even greater. it reminds me alot of the movie "The Edge" only instead of a kodiak bear, its a pack of wolves.

That was one poorly cut trailer. I love Liam though. I could watch him shit into a jar on film and think it was a masterpiece.

Judging by the trailer, the cinematography looks to be fairly well done and I did enjoy the parts where he delved in and out of reality. I still feel as if the slasher element of the wolves may ruin what looks like an otherwise promising film. Perhaps a "hidden" or "mysterious" enemy would have better suited the film.

Yeah, like the abominable snowman or something.

Yeah, because I was implying that this should remain a slasher flick lol

Maybe it is a good film but wolves just don't act like this. Ever.

Wrong....most of the time wolves are non threatening but there are documented cases where they have attacked humans in the past.So don't pretend like wolves aren't capable of violence towards humans...they are

Give me a documented case of a North American wolf doing this. Hybrids don't count.

No problem... Taylor Lautner. That wolf has been terrorizing grown men since 2008.

You should Google it Brian. There are some out there. I found at least 4 documented cases in less than 5 minutes. But I get your point.

Its true that wolves aren't predators with lasers on their shoulders or light-bending camouflage... but a starving animal will do just about anything for a meal. Multiply that by a lifetime of surviving in a frozen wasteland where any type of food is scarce and you'll get a very vicious, cunning, and fearless hunter.

I was intrigued... until the wolves showed up. Then it was, oh, it's one of those sorts of movies. Like The Edge. A bit disappointing, and I think I think the trailer showed the whole movie. Neeson is a very watchable actor however.

Looks like Joe Carnahan just figured out how to keep the camera still! This looks amazing.

Maybe it should have been like Cast Away but in the Alaskan wilderness.
