Fast Five TV Spot

This Summer… Think Fast, Live Furious - Fast Five! Universal debuted (via Apple) their 30-second Super Bowl TV spot for Fast Five, the fifth sequel in the high speed Fast and Furious franchise. This time, actors like Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson and Ludacris return, while Dwayne Johnson makes his first appearance. We featured the poster last week and the first official trailer back in December, but this is a nice tease if you love this series. As expected, this 30-second Super Bowl spot is packed full of cars, women, hot actors, steamy car races, and so much more. It's a quick, fun watch - check it out below.

Dom (Diesel) and his team of top racers find themselves on the wrong side of the law again as they try to switch lanes between a ruthless drug lord who wants them dead and a relentless federal agent (Johnson).

Fast Five is again directed by Taiwanese director Justin Lin, who previously helmed Better Luck Tomorrow, Spotlighting, Annapolis as well as Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift and 2009's last sequel Fast & Furious. The screenplay was written by Chris Morgan, of Cellular, Wanted, Tokyo Drift, Fast & Furious as well as the upcoming 47 Ronin. Universal is bringing Fast Five to theaters everywhere 3D on April 29th this summer.

Watched the Superbowl at a bar. Everyone laughed (scoffed) their faces off at this. Although the action does seem like fun, this just looks like a bunch of schlock, hardly worth the price of a rental...Which bald dude will prevail?

Hmm... this may actually be worth watching. If just for seeing Vin Diesel and The Rock in the same movie.
