"This is why we do not delay weddings." Universal has debuted the first official trailer via Yahoo for Nick Stoller's The Five-Year Engagement, a new romantic comedy starring Jason Segel and Emily Blunt as a couple who get engaged, but then we follow as their engagement turns out to be five years long, hence the title. How funny! I'm actually a fan of Nick Stoller, I think the movies he directs (like Forgetting Sarah Marshall) are damn good and hilarious, and this looks the same. The supporting cast includes Rhys Ifans, Alison Brie, Chris Pratt, Kevin Hart, Mindy Kaling and Chris Parnell. It's quite funny, take a look.

Beginning where most romantic comedies end, The Five-Year Engagement charts the ups and downs of an engaged couple (Jason Segel & Emily Blunt) who keep getting tripped up on the long walk down the aisle.
The Five-Year Engagement is directed by filmmaker/writer Nicholas Stoller, director of Get Him to the Greek and Forgetting Sarah Marshall, writer of Gulliver's Travels and The Muppets. The screenplay was co-written by Jason Segel & Stoller, just like Forgetting Sarah Marshall. Produced by Apatow Productions and Judd Apatow, Universal is releasing The Five-Year Engagement on April 27th, 2012 next spring. In?

Emily Blunt is worth the time, maybe not five years, but 90 minutes? Sure.

This movie is being advertised the same was as Sarah marshall and that movie still to this day is one of my FAVOURITE comedies. Stoller and Segal together with Apatow producing, count me in twice.

Couldn't have said it better. I love Forgetting Sarah Marshall, and this should be good too.

Should'nt have put 'hilarious' in the title, kind of implies that it will be 'hilarious' as opposed to the mediocre rom comness that just ensued onm my laptop.. allot of pain laughs... (running into a car door, slipping on snow, being shot on leg) .. not much anywhere else.

How is this hilarious again..? Having someone get hit by a car door while it's being opened at the same exact time is supposedly.. funny? Wow, I wonder how many cheesy romedies already did that. And you guys said The Three Stooges trailer was crap? Lol, that's just fucking precious.

I'm unfamiliar with Emily Blunt, but she seems quite lovely. This trailer made me laugh, I'll Netflix it.
