"You read way too much Twilight!" Damn straight! Another new "first look" trailer debuted on the MTV Movie Awards last night for DreamWorks' Fright Night remake, starring Anton Yelchin, Colin Farrell, Imogen Poots, Toni Collette and Christopher Mintz-Plasse, directed by Craig Gillespie. The first trailer hit a few weeks ago and this is quite similar, but still new. Thanks to ShockTillYouDrop for uploading and embedding the trailer. We also, finally, get a look at David Tennant as Peter Vincent, too. This is quite an energetic and intense trailer, lots of action and fighting, I am really looking forward to this. Check it out!
Watch the second new trailer for Craig Gillespie's Fright Night (via STYD):
Senior Charlie Brewster (Yelchin) finally has it all going on. He's running with the popular crowd and dating the most coveted girl in his high school. In fact, he's so cool he's even dissing his best friend. But trouble arrives when Jerry (Farrell) moves in next door. He seems like a great guy at first, but there's something not quite right—but everyone, including Charlie's mom (Collette), doesn't notice. After observing some very strange activity, Charlie comes to an unmistakable conclusion: Jerry is a vampire preying on the neighborhood. Unable to convince anyone, Charlie has to find a way to get rid of the monster himself in this Craig Gillespie-helmed revamp of the comedy-horror classic. Fright Night will hit theaters on August 19th.

Nice to see that the "Criss Angel" getup was just part of Peter Vincent's publicity gimmick.

That music reminds me of The Lost Boys (which is a good thing). Nice trailer!

I have to say... this looks fun! That last trailer made it seem more like Disturbia with vampires. This looks darker but like it's not trying to take itself so seriously.

you have to remember that likening the first trailer to Disturbia was really likening it to Fright Night as Disturbia was like a remake to Fright Night WITHOUT vampires to begin with!!!!

Wrong. Disturbia was a remake of Rear Window.

Could this be the vehicle to introduce American non-Whovians to David Ten?

Hope so. Good thing I'm an American Whovian. Female at that. I'm also a fan of Colin Farrell and Anton Yelchin so yes, I shall see this!

With the original being one of my favorite movies, I was VERY worried about this. However, as much as I dislike Farrell, this looks like its going to be worth it. Well done trailer, casting seems good. Overall vibe seems to match the original...not too funny, a bit serious. nice work!

I was quite into this before but I'm definitely into it now, but I'm quite drunk, so hopefully it was good.

i love the motorbike going through the car window. should be a good scene. having watched the original for the first time not long ago....before i even knew this was being made... iv gota say im looking forward to it. Horror comedies are great entertainment if done right. e.g scary movie. Just kidding... i hate that piece of shit....More like shaun of the dead...yep that will do.

I saw the original for the first time 2 weeks ago, and I have to say I am excited for this remake. Not that there was ANYTHING wrong with the first one, I'm just saying that this actually looks good. I'll be in line the day it comes out hopefully. P.S. People keep calling Fright Night a horror-comedy. Even my mom said she thought it was scary as a kid, but thinks it kind of funny now. I didn't really find it humorous, I thought it was pretty frickin' spooky...especially when the girlfriend turned.

Wow, that just sold me. I loved the original, even if looking back on it it reveals all kinds of cheese. This looks pretty damn good.

P.s. Christopher Mintz-Plasse as to pimp his Evil Ed interpretation like Stephen Geoffreys did his role. A bit of funny but sad vibe.
