Just last month, for the first time we highlighted an ongoing video series from Kees van Dijkhuizen as he chronicles a different director's body of work each month with a great montage paying tribute to their catalog of films. The most recent installment saw a short but sweet compilation of clips from the work of Ridley Scott, and now the 10-part series is coming to an end with another fine montage with the work of director Tim Burton. His finer films like Beetlejuice, Ed Wood, Edward Scissorhands, Batman and more are on display with the Planet of the Apes remake even appearing. Check out the video below!
Here's a look at [the films of] Tim Burton from Kees van Dijkhuizen (via SlashFilm):
The above version is somewhat NSFW, and if you'd like an edited cut of the video, you can check that out right here. Van Dijkhuizen says, "Tim Burton is one of those filmmakers who tells stories unlike anyone else. Whether it's about an alien invasion, the worst director of all time or a bride risen from the dead, Burton's films are filled with unique and iconic characters and visuals that make his films unforgettable" That made the piecing the video together a little challenging as van Dijkhuizen "wanted to communicate how unique each movie was, not just how unique Tim Burton was."
He seems to have succeeded magnificently in presenting the work of Burton as a director, and if you're interested, he's also crafted videos like this for filmmakers like Michel Gondry, David Fincher, Wes Anderon and more. You can see all those and many more of his videos right here. Pretty cool, right?

Hey cool, he used my Alice letters in it. This montage makes me feel like watching Big Fish again. Only saw it once.

Even though it feels lately that Burton's most original work might be behind him, you can't deny he's made a lot of great movies over the years. Watching this makes me want to have a Burton marathon. Definitely wondering why I don't own Beetlejuice or Edward Scissorhands...

Although he didn't direct himself, where is Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas?!? Surely belongs in this montage!
