Martha Marcy May Marlene UK Trailer

"Marcy May - where you going!?" Another full-length official trailer has been unveiled on Empire today for Fox Searchlight's cult drama Martha Marcy May Marlene, starring up-and-coming actress Elizabeth Olsen. This latest trailer starts out much like the recent two viral trailers, but in the later half amps up the energy and intensity quite a bit. More importantly, the ever-so-creepy John Hawkes is featured a bit more prominently in this one, to good measure as he's one of the best parts of the film. If you're still hesitant about this film, or just want to see more, this is a trailer to watch, as it does a very good job of selling this.

Watch the latest UK trailer for Sean Durkin's Martha Marcy May Marlene, found via Empire:

Martha Marcy May Marlene stars newcomer Elizabeth Olsen as Martha, a damaged woman haunted by her memories and increasing paranoia, who struggles to reassimilate with her family after fleeing a cult.

Martha Marcy May Marlene is both written and directed by first-time filmmaker Sean Durkin, of only a couple of shorts previously. This premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, where Sean won the Dramatic Directing Award. Fox Searchlight picked this up during the fest and will be releasing Martha Marcy May Marlene in limited theaters beginning October 21st later this fall. Visit the official website. Thoughts?

guessing split personality movie with a hint of innapropriate sexual advances with a dash of amnesia based paranoia....nailed it.

Could be very possible that John Hawkes could be up for Oscar talk again this year for this.

Has anyone else, beside me, upon reading the title of this film immediately thought of how similar the wording is to Woody Allen's "Vicky Cristina Barcelona" ?

How dare you suggest that John Hawkes is creepy! He was the only reasonable man in the whole town of Deadwood, and he fell in love with the whore with a heart of gold. I will hear no words against him.

Any one know what this was shot on? It looks digital from the trailer to me, just trying to figure it out.

John Hawkes is a legend! I've been avoiding this film for a while now...but I'm glad I clicked play. The Song was epic...wonder if it will be released?

I found the song Hawkes sings. Definitely a great song.
